They have an awesome selection of livebearers and live plants. The ludwigia plants had the biggest leaves I've ever seen on that species. If I lived in town, I would have bought plenty of those plant. This is an awesome pet store.

Just went in for some bird seed. People were very helpful.

They gave me a dying fish.I asked for 5 guppies and one of them was breathing fast lying on it's side when we were at checkout and I already payed for the fish so I couldn't really do anything. My kids were taking me around the store to see the fish while the owner caught and took the fish to check out. It died 6 hours later.They also will give free snails so your ammonia spikes and they convince you to buy products to get rid of it instead of telling you to do extra water changes. As a beginner I didn't know anything so I trusted them. I've had better experiences at big box stores like Petsmart and Petland.

I do really appreciate how knowledgeable the owners are and I always enjoy chatting with them when I buy my bird food and supplies. The prices are also very similar to what I was paying when I was buying from my wholesaler who no longer sells to individuals. My only hesitation, as someone who has worked in animal rescue for years and has many rescue birds, is that I wish they didn't sell birds. I really encourage pet supply stores to not breed and sell animals, especially large birds. I'm always happy to share stories and experiences as to why that is and hope that the owners might consider this in the future.

I’ve been a regular customer for a couple years now! They’re the friendliest and the most knowledgeable. I really appreciate them giving tips and advice on how to properly keep the pets before you purchase. They take time to explain fish care, making sure you have everything you need before coming home with your new pet. You could really tell they love what they do!

We bought two very healthy budgies from the Birdshop and several fish plus supplies and food. One bird 8 years ago and the second bird yesterday. We have always receive excellent service here. They take the time to answer question and give advice.

The owners seem to be dodging every complaint about how their bird are cared for. This has been an ongoing issue for the past 20 years. There's always an excuse. After reading these reviews, that definitely confirms I'm not the only one.Found out she worked at a pet store." Come on.The review about the 1 in 100 guppies that just so happened to be ill that was sold to a customer. There more than that
