The wine selection is very plentiful and the service is amazing! The chocolate sherbet was awesome. The Pepe de cacio was extremely salty to me. My first time having it so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Had a great time and will definitely return

This was a perfect dining experience. Ryan is the best waiter. After coming here again, I will request him every time. He gives excellent recommendations and his descriptions ensure there are no surprises. I loved everything we had here. The sweet potato pasta and the mushrooms were my absolute favorite. The broccoli was great, but very spicy. The duck on toast was divine! The tri tip and the raspberry tart were just okay (I wouldn't order again). I enjoyed having the dining room reservation, the communal reservation would be too loud/close and not my type of experience. The scallops were spicy but irresistible. The hake is the only thing I’ve ever tried here that did not meet the standards of the rest of the food. It was mushy and inedible. I wasn’t told if this was a fluke or by design. But I would not recommend the hake.

Trendy upmarket restaurant with fresh and seasonal food. Some dishes better than others - the kale salad, parsnips, beef tartare and squid the standout.Great to take a group and share so you can try a few things. Not super excited by the wine options, but is very much a personal taste. The cocktails were delicious - recommend the Catching Rabbits.

Amazing restaurant ! My husband and I visited this place September of 2022 and we both agreed that we will come back to Detroit just to eat at this place again. We love all the food we had and drinks were delicious! If you ever visit Detroit this place should be at the top of your restaurant list.

Terrific menu. This is a busy place, and the food is fresh, flavorful and fun. We shared some small plates and had some top notch cocktails. Kale Salad, a cheesy mound of goodness. Roasted Asparagus with wild Ramps and pistachio butter- a lovely melody of texture and flavor. Carrot Fritters that were just a lovely riff on a latke, with BBQ seasoning with a light buttermilk sauce. We ended our meal sharing the Chorizo with local Michigan Beans. This was a terrific sharing meal.

Pricey but tasty. I love having the small plates come out separately. Not having all the food at once allows me to enjoy rhw different tastes more. We loved our waitress, Kyla M. She was amazing. Very helpful and provided great service. We started with the oysters, which were amazing. We moved on to the roasted potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were baked to perfection, and the asparagus was just the right amount of crunchy. We finished Edith the Papperdelle. The many different flavors melded wonderfully together to provide a mouthful of wonderful. For desert, we opted for the Panna Cotta. We were weary of the rhubarb, but it worked well. Enjoy the experience.

Got in at 7:30pm on a Saturday for 2 no reservations right away. Took a risk and got lucky. Plus scored with an open parking spot in their small parking lot. And omg what a dinner! Ryan was attentive and working hard to make sure everything was perfect at every table. The sea bass was incredible. A crispy skin with the carrot purée and the mushrooms omg it was so good. The kale salad was the best salad I have had all season. Couldn’t stop eating it.I love that you have essentials in the women’s bathroom too. I always look forward to the lotion. It’s the little things.

Food was wonderful. The fennel & endive salad was good. Cacio e Pepe was great! The lamb ribs were soft and cooked really well. The agrodolce and lemon yogurt works really well with the lamb. The green sauce elevates the grilled chicken flavor. Both the cod & bass were awesome! Overall it was a truly wonderful gastronomic experience.

Consistency. I've been coming to Selden for a few years now and I've always had delicious food and great experiences. Their menu is always evolving but you can always expect a creative salad choice, a ridiculously good pasta, and a perfectly cooked meat selection. Pair it with a glass of wine or a craft cocktail from the bar (my preferred seat) and you'll be all set, ohh but don't forget to ask for their bread. Great place for a date, meeting with friends, or bringing your mom for her birthday

Since it opened, it’s been one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Always meets or exceeds expectations. Love the vibe, the decor, etc and more importantly love the food. It’s fresh and creative, flavorful and doesn’t sit heavy. I like the Mediterranean vibe but they don’t limit themselves creatively. The pastas are always phenomenal. The veggie dishes delicious and thoughtful. I love sitting at the chefs counter and watching them work the open fire and coal oven spaces. Great beverage list too! Highly recommend. I always stop here when I’m in the area.
