Chester Grant DNR Shooting Range
Nice range, bring a staple gun and some sheet targets. Also clean up after yourselves, not hard to pick up some brass and pull your targets.

Fun to go to and burn some rounds, but like others have said it is poorly maintained, try and clean up as much as you can when you are done and try not to totally destroy the target stands when you go as well. This is for everyone to use so keep that in mind.

Did not know what to expect as there were only 4 poor pics online and scary looking conditions, so we prepared be for we booked. We brought an impact gun and some wood screws to repair and mount our Targets, but did not need them. We brought a staple gun to mount paper target to existing target mount stands, and that worked very well! There were a few and in decent condition, much better than previous pics showed. We even brought our own shooting table and a chair to use while sighting in our 3 rifles, but they had built 3 different sets of Twin Shooting tables, each at the 25 yards, 50 Yards and even 100 yard distances. A couple shooting tables had, had sand bags, but were destroyed by the weather, with only 1 good sand bag to share between the three shooting tables, so a little carrying back and fourth as we sighted in our rifles for the first time. Had I known there was only 1, I would have brought a couple and donated them for all to use. All in all, Once you are booked online with your Wildlife Resource Card Number, you just show up, once the Range is clear, set up you targets, ready your guns and hunt the bullseye! Everything you need to get your rifles ready for the season at this Primitive Simplistic Clean Outdoor Shooting Range. I will defiantly use again! Thanks to those whom make this facility possible! We appreciate your efforts! Kind Regards

Pretty nice public range. Hard to find info online about what to expect when you get there so it was a learning experience for a first-timer. You book a slotted time online and you have the whole range to yourself. There are three tables to shoot from at different distances and two wooden things that you staple your targets to shoot at.

Close to the road, structures in place. Targets there but no port-a-potty for the lady shooters. My favourite range behind Leitches Creek.

Good range. Always use it to sight in my rifles before the season starts. Just wish some people would clean up after their done. Let’s not always leave it to the rangers to do our dirty work.

Good range with tables at 100, 50 and 25 yards. I wish they would permit skeet shooting considering there are miles on miles of crownland behind the backstop. Also don't allow you to bring your own gong for whatever reason. If you enjoy shooting nothing but paper, and need to sight your rifles, this is the place for you.
