MCC New Hamburg Thrift Centre

Went in yesterday, found 2 new release books ($6 each compared to $19.99 each, SCORE!!) I’ve seen some reviews saying the store is pricey, obviously newer items are more than older ones, but pricy? Hardly. Prices here are better than bigger thrift shops. Very clean store. Well organized and so much to look at. Staff are very friendly as well. All items are very clean and some look hardly even used. This is my favourite shop in New Hamburg to hit up. Five plus stars!

I must say, when 'I feel the joy' entering the store, I am reminded as to whom they serve. Staff and volunteers are so nice. I do wish they could ask for warmer Florida like weather here in winter months but I guess they can only do so many things.

Well laid out with lots of variety. Place is spotless and prices are on par with Goodwill. Much larger than expected, easy to find, with lots of free parking. Worth dropping in if you are driving through to or from Kitchener and beyond. Their annual plant sale is definitely worth the drive every year.

Went in today for the first time in a little while. I used to come every week and buy a lot of stuff, but after seeing the insane prices (especially on children’s items!), I will not be visiting regularly anymore. These items are donated = free stock, the staff are volunteers = free labour, the business is a charity = low to no overhead. There is absolutely no excuse to be charging so close to (or above in some cases) retail pricing. Even Goodwill, which isn’t a charity, keeps prices on children’s clothing & toys at an affordable rate. I was so disgusted after seeing what I saw today!

This is an amazing thrift store. Donations are dropped off dailyAlways interesting items to check out.I find the prices are excellent especially with the 75% off on the color code of the week. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful. I have found high end designer garments at a fraction of the retail price. My favorite thrift store!

Great selection of clothing and household items, but has gotten way to over priced for donated goods. I still prefer this chain of thrift stores over value village but I saw a few used jackets for close to $100! A used Nike sweater for $45 and a few pairs of shoes with worn out Soles for $15+. They also have a rack with purses that are locked up to a chain, these purses are higher end names like coach, Kate spade etc the prices on these are insane as well some of the purses are stained and they are still asking $90 for some of them. There has been older outdated coach purses with peeling on the leather for $50+.I do like supporting the cause but can we please be reasonable here? I understand they are name brand items but you also got these items for free of cost. I really do appreciate you guys having a 75 percent off sale as well as it's great savings for these higher priced items If you really wanted them. Thank you for reading, by no means am I trying to be rude or mean I am just putting an honest review. I do love this store it's always clean and the volunteers are always amazing. The only thing with holding a 5 star review is the pricing. Cheers

This is the best Thrift Store I have ever visited. There are so many unique items. Everything is displayed well. Items are in good or excellent condition. Donations are accepted every day and when you spend money here there is no tax because all the money goes to so many local and worldwide MCC projects. You can feel good about shopping here.

Great store overall. Usually find some neat stuff.They have a no return policy and refuse to make exceptions however they sold me clothes which have damages in them that were not marked on the tag. I looked very carefully at it however, missed it. Very displeased. Be sure to quadruple check items.

Great selection of perennials at the plant sale! Absolutely loved it!

Lots of selection but wow are some things way overpriced. For example, I saw garden items that cost MORE than what I found recently at Canadian Tire (including the EXACT same item).
