Excellent little afternoon trip on the motorbike from Medicine Hat. Lots to explore inside and out. Very friendly staff and great homemade pie with ice cream.

Etzikom Museum & Historic Windmill Centre
The Etzikom Museum is a very worthwhile place to visit - amazing museum for this small town and a great collection of windmills and farm machinery from yesteryear. The museum features a variety of artificats from the area including a doll collection and several themed rooms and display cases. Pie and ice cream are available. The museum was a cool retreat on a very hot day, and teh walk around the outside displays was amazing (and available to peruse if the museum is closed.

Couldn’t go inside as they were closed. But we walked around and checked out the artifacts. Super cool find randomly off the side of the highway.

Etzikom Museum & Historic Windmill Centre
This is my second visit to this wonderful museum. It is beautifully kept and filled with all manner of treasures of interest to history enthusiasts. It is run by local volunteers who are clearly proud of this place. And there's homemade pie!

Etzikom Museum & Historic Windmill Centre
We decided to stop off at Etzikon to see the Windmill Museum. We didn’t know that there is another museum inside the old school right beside all the windmills. Also on site is a church to look at and a garage. So if you are planning on just looking at windmills forget so much more to see. They also have fresh pies and ice cream. Reasonable price and we took a couple of hours but worth it.

Etzikom Museum & Historic Windmill Centre
If you are touring Southern Alberta, be sure to put the Etzikom Windmill Museum on your list. Even if the actual Prairie History museum in the former school is closed you can walk that grounds and see dozens of windmills. If you're coming during the summer, you are more likely to be able to see the actual museum - this consists of several rooms of Prairie Homesteading type artifacts. If you've grown up on the prairies, you will love this time capsule! And... the pie!!!!!

A really neat outdoor display of historic windmills in the middle of the prairies! We came by on an Easter Sunday morning and obviously the indoor museum wasn’t open, but the outdoor display was interesting enough for a quick stop.

Etzikom Museum & Historic Windmill Centre
What a great place.Tucked away in a Southern Alberta town.The Windmill museum was a treasure .Wonderful exhibits to explore in the main building.Outside youll find a fabulous windmill trail a period garage and a chapel that is just a jewel.Take time to visit the old time cafe with icecream and pie or bring your own and have a picnic at the tables outside.You wont regret the trip.
