Dennis’ introduction to photography course is something that I’d easily recommend to anyone looking to get into photography. I just finished taking it for the second time because I loved it so much and wanted to review all of the concepts and it was just as fun as the first time! Dennis always makes himself available to help his students and explains everything in a way that isn’t super overwhelming, making it very approachable for beginners. If you’re looking for a photography course, I have no hesitations in recommending this one!

Introductory Photography was a wonderful course and I would totally recommend it to any aspiring photographer. It certainly filled in a lot of gaps for me and I feel much more confident going forward. Dennis' skill and experience as an educator really makes this class shine. And with 2 great assistants, comprehensive weekly videos, weekly zooms, unlimited availability for questions, and several field trips it is a great value as well.

Dennis was great to work with and made me feel right at home, even though it was my first photoshoot. I recommend him for all your photography needs.

Learned all aspects of photography through the course. Dennis is a very good teacher, the photo outings are awesome! Dennis, Mel & Randy make the outings very interesting. If you are looking to learn serious photography, Double Exposure is the place to go.

I took both the Introductory (fall 2022) and Intermediate (spring 2023) photography course offered by Dennis. Each course was a very positive experience allowing me to gradually grow my knowledge about photography and to learn how to use my camera. I am now able to trouble shoot my photography issues whether they are related to day, night, portrait, landscape, action or abstract photography. I appreciate the ongoing access to lessons, now that my course work is done, as is gives me an avenue for review whenever needed during my photographic journey.

I took Dennis' Introductory Photography Course last summer and have just completed the Intermediate Photography Course a week ago. We learned the basic skills in different genres in the Introductory course and moved to more specific advanced skills in the Intermediate one including flash, night photography, light painting, ICM, etc. The courses are well designed with a balanced combination between online meeting and outing/outdoor photoshoot, together with informative and valuable materials - things that I will definitely refer to in many months/years to come. The course makes me think more deeply about what I want capture in a photo and how to convey that message. Dennis and his team are very generous, supportive and always be there to answer questions and offer constructive comments whenever the group needed. Besides basic skills and techniques, creativity is greatly emphasized throughout the courses. I see myself improving day after day applying things I have learned from Dennis' courses and other photographer fellows.The class is relatively small, so there is a lot of interaction and individual attention. Dennis, I enjoyed this class more than I ever anticipated. Your method of teaching is excellent and for the first time my digital camera is making sense. I knew and understood film and have never had the same comfort with digital until now. Can’t thank you enough.
