Shelter Bay Public School

While the teachers are nice people and I acknowledge they must have their own set of challenges, the pandemic has brought to the forefront some rather poor strategies for teaching in JK/SK.For parents who are supporting their kids while working from home we often find partial completion of arts/crafts from an earlier assignment in the day. If my child has finished the art/craft he/she has to sit through the entire (sometimes) online session while they wait for everyone else to finish up.The teachers need to be more engaging with their teaching methods and also storytelling, instead of just playing YT videos and posting links for the same. It has been more than a year of this and there could definitely be better teaching methods that could have been adopted. There are other schools with teachers of the same grade who have handled online teaching better.

School is full of gang related teachers and staff. My children found it the most unaccomodating and most abusive school they ever attended. The STAFF call special needs kids “cry babies” and they put adhd kids in the hallway when they don’t know what to do. The staff do NOT know how to handle a special needs child and give detention to non verbal kids who are bullied because the BULLY says it wasn’t them.

Suspened 8 months had to change schools to st richards 1996

Just I am posting my review about how it looks outside and playground spaces surrounded area. The school is located in area where more communities surrounded and lot green spaces. Love to be here as a student. ☺️
