Pure Yoga Centretown

I am only in town for the week and was able to take a Tuesday evening Yin class. The studio is gorgeous and well kept, the room itself was perfectly warm, and the instructor had a great volume level. I highly recommend this class if you need to unwind with gentle guidance.

I like Pure a lot, and tend to go for the $5 Friday karma classes mostly due to my student budget. It is typically a fun, social experience and the Friday classes tend to be challenging enough. The studio space is nice and very clean and the staff all seem very friendly. This is probably because I’m going to the $5 classes (which are always very full) but there doesn’t seem to be a strong focus on form, which might make it less enjoyable/safe for people brand new to yoga. I also enjoyed in past studios having a mirror, which they don’t have, to check proper alignment. But overall, I find the studio and its atmosphere very enjoyable! And I love that they give you a free class for your birthday (which I used on probably one of the hardest yoga classes I’ve EVER done).

So many options to keep your body, mind and soul in shape. The staff makes you feel like family. Pure Yoga is a home away from home. All types of registration possibilities to suit your schedule.

I registered and paid for my first yoga class at Pure Yoga Centretown, a karma class, and was denied entry (along with 4 other people) for being 1-2 minutes late due to inclement snowy/rainy weather.I’m aware that it’s bad form to be late to a yoga class, but thought some grace would be given considering the poor weather and the fact that it was my first time finding the (poorly marked) building while it was surrounded by scaffolding and construction.I left my house with the intention of arriving at least 10 minutes early, drove 30+ minutes to attend this class with a friend, and was not even allowed up the entryway stairs. Another student later told me that the entire back row of the class was empty.Yoga is about acceptance and understanding, but that was not my experience at Pure Yoga Centretown.

A excellent selection of classes and times to go in its schedule! Very talented, friendly teachers! The reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5, though, is because their prices are quite high. $30 for one drop in class, and if you want to get their monthly unlimited yoga it's over $170/month after tax.

I love this place! The standard are so high, I love the fact that everybody is on time and giving their best. You can really feel empowered by the energy. The instructors are so qualified. It’s my favourite place for a good mental and physical workout. You can really push your limits.

Pure yoga has some great instructors. Unfortunately the very full classes kind of ruined it for me. I found that other participants were not very considerate as I’ve experienced in other studios. This isn’t something really in ownership’s control but the vibe just wasn’t quite right for me.If you are looking for a great workout, don’t really pay much mind to the meditation portion of yoga, and don’t mind very full classes, then Pure might be the right option for you.

Amazing teachers, staff and classes! If you want a yoga studio that you will love going to this is the one. All the variety of classes is amazing so you can adjust what you want to get out of it. To anyone reading this you have to try the Ritual!

I am so grateful to have this place to practice. From the moment you walk in the door the experience starts on a positive note when you are always greeted with a warm welcome by one of the amazing staff/instructors. There are enough classes and styles to suit just about any practitioner and if there is something that is not working for your body or state of mind that day, you are always encouraged to modify in a way that suits you best. If your hair elastic breaks, no worries, they have replacements at the front desk. If you are injured, no problem, they will allow you to suspend your membership while you recover. If it is your birthday, you will be acknowledged with an email and complimentary class. This is how you run a successful business and keep your clients satisfied. No matter what is going on in my day or my life, I know that all I have to do is show up at PURE yoga and the rest will fall into place. Thank you to the PURE yoga team for being my stability and helping me manage my physical and mental well being at a time when everything else is so uncertain.

Pure is such a fantastic wellness experience. From Yoga to Strength and Ritual, they have it all. Wonderful instructors and a very supportive community.
