Very pleasant little restaurant. The food is fresh and very tasty, there is a large selection of mild, non-spicy dishes. The service is friendly and pleasant. The prices are reasonable. There's free municipal parking less than 2 minutes walk. I will definitely visit again.

Meat in Tandoori dishes was by far too dry. A small piece of plastic bag was found in my mango drink. Environment is cozy and service is okay. Will try some other dishes next time, as tandoori meat was so dry that we could hardly finish the food.

After looking at the ratings I was interested in getting this however I was extremely disappointed. The portions are way too small of the naan it’s absolutely ridiculous when we opened the foil and found the tiniest 4 naans (which was considered to be 1 naan; I have uploaded the picture). If you go to any other Indian restaurant you get 2 big naans which is considered 1 naan. Especially for the price, very disappointing. In addition, the butter chicken was not appetizing at all, it was way too sweet and the chicken was extremely hard to cut with a knife. Overall I won’t be coming back here and I most definitely recommend any other Indian restaurant over this, as portions are small and more expensive at the clay oven.I am editing this review after seeing the reply of the restaurant: we were infact not told whatsoever the butter chicken would be sweet as I would have not ordered it then. And as for the naan portions, if you go into any other Indian restaurant you get 2 naans (so it would be 8 small pieces) for the price you are giving one. Instead of offering some sort of consoles the restaurant has replied to my review with sarcasm and disrespect. Even more unhappy at this point.

The Clay Oven An Authentic Indian Cuisine
The staff at The Clay Oven are nothing short of first class. Even on a terrible snow storm these fine gentlemen were open and made my wife's birthday a very special one. We had the whole place to ourselves for most of the night and had an amazing meal and were stuffed at the end but had to get some food to go for tomorrow it was so darn good. Prices were great and the variety is amazing and they are licensed. The sweet naan the chef sent out as a little birthday treat for my wife was unexpected, rich, sweet and tasty and none was left at the end. I am so glad we didn't end up at a big box chain restaurant and ended up here. It is one of those happy surprises. The meal options were so plentiful and so tasty and our server was patient and explained the various dishes and what to expect. I am so grateful for good service these days and these gents were nothing short of that. I can't say enough wonderful things, we are so lucky they are a short drive from our home town. I am sure we heard about The Clay Oven from some friends and now we know why. We found our go to restaurant when Indian cuisine is on the menu moving forward. Do yourself a favour and get spoiled and try some amazing food at The Clay Oven in Acton. I should note; I love Kingfisher beer from Indian and they didn't have it BUT our server surprised us with Cheetah Lager and wow great tasting beer that went great with some of our dishes. Once again, wonderful friendly staff, I feel bad I forgot to ask our server's name, but that's ok we will be back and I will be sure to get his name he was so nice and patient. Thank you once again from a very grateful family of 5 that simply loved our dining experience at The Clay Oven. See you again soon. Wishing you continued success. Keep up the great service and food!

Best indian food i've probably had. Exceptionally clean and nice looking restaurant. Service is extremely friendly and welcoming. Id say this is the best restaurant in Acton.

We had Syed and his team at the clay oven catered a 20 person Indian feast for my Husband's birthday. The service was phenomenal, Syed was attentive and responsive from the get go offering suggestions and helping with menu plan. The food taste and quality was outstanding. A highlight of the party. Thank you to Syed!
