Second Generation Landscapes

The retaining wall behind my home was nearly 30 yrs old and was in dire need of being rebuilt from scratch. Marc and his crew were courteous, friendly, and professional. The project took just over a week and the finished work is remarkable, it will definitely stand up to the test of time. Thank you to Marc and your crew, I would definitely recommend this company for future work to friends and neighbours.

What can I say, Marc and his team are amazing. They start at 0730 but Marc or Alex were there at 0700 making sure everything was done properly. Any little issue I had they fixed right away. We did a massive project; 1/4 acre sloped back yard. We did retaining walls, pool and hot tub area, Pavers. Marc and his team worked with the electrician so all the wires were 2' beneath the ground. My retaining walls will last 30-40 years (wood) as they were done well above code and with full drainage.let me just say you can go cheaper but you'll pay double in the long run. Seriously Marc and his crew do it like Holmes on Holmes, they come in do it right the first time and it will last a life time.Marc, Thank you so Much!!!

Last fall I contacted half a dozen places about doing some site prep work for my front yard. 2 came out to visit me, 1 was Marc from Second Generation Landscapes. He had the better price and the solid online reviews that made him and easy choice.We had some chats back and forth about what I was looking to do. How pricey my idea was, and he suggested some some more cost effective options.I decided I'd reach out again in the new year when things weren't as muddy so we could move forward. He was wrapped up the work in a few week without any hitches. He even had a second look at the retaining wall and thought it might not have the presence I was hoping for in my concept mockups. He suggested building it up a bit more and it looked great.Now my front yard is a clean slate and I can finally get going on the planting I've wanted to do since we bought the place. Now that I'm out front quite regularly doing further prep on my own, I get numerous complements on the work that was done by Marc and Second Gen.Good job. Definitely recommended.

I’ve used Marc (Second Generation Landscapes) for 4 major projects over the past 3 years (pavers, retaining wall, stone wall and saw cut steps, sod, fence and decorative arbour). I would not consider using anyone else. Why? His crew provide superior work, are professionals, have always met or exceeded my expectations (I generally have high expectations) and should there be an issue Marc always delivers. This is massively important since my experience is most do not. Marc is very prompt at addressing any concern and will make it right. He has transformed my backyard into a paradise! It’s been 3 years and I still get the wow factor when I step out on the deck. I love it! Thank you Marc!!

The updated retaining wall on the front of the house looks great and the neighbors agree! Some of the people walking along on this street admired it as they walked past and many have told us that they like it. If you get the approval of the neighbors, it must look good. We were happy with the way 2nd gen's superintendent carried out their work, they kept the jobsite clean and tidy so we and anyone who had to enter the property didn't have to navigate around hazards etc... That level of attention to detail and site safety is a sign of a well-trained, conscientious operations manager IMO. I can see why 2nd Gen reviews are so good and good reviews were a major contributing factor in our choice of landscape contractors. If/when we need another landscape contractor, 2nd Gen will be on the top of our go to list.Thanks very much, the owners.
