My husband and I purchased an Otter Vortex Resort less than 7 days ago for $1.099.99 +tax. We found another small business who had the Otter Vortex available for 749 +tax. We called multiple times to discuss returning our purchase and explained the situation and the MASSIVE price difference between two small businesses. We read through their entire return policy online and it states that we have 15 days to return in original packaging, unused with the receipt. Bait Casters has REFUSED to honour their own return policy & will not honour it. We have been big supporters, and spent a countless amount of money at this business, but will no longer support it.We are also small business owners and could NEVER imagine ripping off our clients like this! Price gouging at its finest. We do not recommend.

I don’t usually post this kind of stuff I just don’t want anyone else to get ripped off. I recently purchased the Otter Outdoors Vortex Resort from Bait Casters only to find out that the item is being sold for $450-$500 cheaper at other retailers. I normally don’t have an issue with a small price difference to support a local Ma & Pa business but this one hurt.Upon notifying the owner, they told me their vendor price was the same as the other’s retail price and would not be adjusting their pricing. So that means Bait Casters is making a $450 profit instead of just recouping their cost and selling it to get rid of the item.I am also a small business owner and this is common practice when you’ve over paid for an item, instead of screwing your customer.We have discussed returning the item due to the substantial price difference as their website says they accept returns & refunds for 15 days as long as the product is unused & has a receipt, however they have not honoured that. They instead said that they have a poster in their store with a different refund policy.This is the last time Bait Casters will make a dollar off of me. It’s sad because these Ma and Pa shops used to be the heart of the angling community but now a days are just out to make a buck, like everyone else.

Had a special request for leather Yukon Tracks rabbit fur hats for our Sheriff to distribute to needy people. The folks at Bait Casters went overboard to help out with this order. THANK YOU from Minnesota USA. The order arrived in time for Christmas. Thank you again!

Good selection of minnows, computer systems outdated so just check your receipts .

Have stopped in for both hunting and fishing items now and then. Friendly and helpful staff, surprisingly good selection for an independent store, and fair prices. Hard to find stores like this anymore that are owned by local people with local knowledge of fish & game. Very good for clothing and cottage / camp items, too.

Nice shop Got lots like crass fishing reels rods fod packages tackle also camo suits and more. Little shop in the back like country stuff.
