Horsefly River Flats Recreation Site
Horsefly River Flats is a small recreation site pinched between Mitchell Bay Road and the Horsefly River. It has two campsites, each with a fire ring and picnic table, and an outhouse.We tented there one night after visiting Quesnel Forks. There was very little traffic on the road, and the river provided wonderful white noise to lull us to sleep. We were near the end of the salmon migration, so there was an odour of dead salmon in the air. Kokanee were still migrating. We didn't see any bears, though.
