Robert Bateman Secondary School

The school definitely has a difficult time prioritizing important elements of their students' education over things such as sports and catering. Many of my teachers have had to fund their classes out of their own pocket with zero funding from the school, and many things around the building that are broken or need replacing go overlooked. While the school is in a nice enough neighbourhood, the building is small and inefficient and I don't feel I am getting a quality experience nor education. When discussing schools with friends from other cities, I never have anything nice to say about Bateman. All in all, do not recommend, and I cannot wait to get out of here.

The school lacks in the students" criteria for the most part

Good school only problem i have is when i walk down the hall near the band room some of the kids bark at me so i tend to avoid that area. Stay safe out there guys.

The vending machine gave me a health bar instead of mentos and that made me sad

The place is alright but the building on the inside is very small compared to other high schools and the track is the worst at any local high school. The area overall is a decent neighborhood but this school could use some work at being both a safer place for and keeping students in school during school hours. I have been here a few times for sports in the past and overall the school and the equipment inside (computers, weight room, desk, chairs, gym bleachers, etc) look like they could use a update as well. I still will go to the school to run but there is still lots of room for improvement for public and student use.

We are very happy with the high levelof engaged teachers at Robert Bateman for our two kids so far. They are comfortable and challenged, and growing. This is a great school!

My main problem with this school is that most of the budget is focused on the football team. I wish that some of that money went into some of the arts programs or the actual education. Most teachers have to pay for a lot of classroom supplies from their own pay check, most of the teachers are really nice and make learning fun though. The school is is pretty safe and is in a good neighbourhood too. Overall pretty good, a lot better than most Abbotsford schools.
