Beautiful course. Very well kept. Great staff. Prices are high but what I would expect for a course such as this one.

I’ve played a lot of golf and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The pro shop kept our clubs during our hotel stay and left them in the rain and ruined them. Then refused to pay damages or compensate in any way. Do not play here, do notsupport the Grand Hotel.

One of the most unique golfing experience ever! The front 9 is very historic and tight but features one of the prettiest holes I ever played #7 par 3 with lake view. The back nine after your horse-drawn carriage ride for a mile or so to the top of the island the back 9 is more open and a lot more yardage with beautiful tree lined fairways. It is very peaceful but you will also have planes fly over you during your round since it's near little airport. After your round The Woods Restaurant where the back 9 pro shop is located is incredible.

As a tourist walking on Huron Rd just west of Turkey Hill Rd, I was struck by a rogue golf ball in the chest. If this would have struck me in the head or face it probably would have resulted in a concussion or lost teeth. Fair warning, there is a lot of tourist traffic on Mackinac Island. This course is NOT for amateurs!!!! I don't know what the liability is for an individual who cause personal injury with an errant ball but I would keep that in mind. This course should have been closed on a windy day like today and/or this course needs to be designed better to prevent injury. Very unsafe!!!

It's a great experience, expensive but well worth it. Hotel is all inclusive. Service is excellent, food is ok. It's more the experience that you'd love. If you're planning on visiting make sure you bring formal attire - you're required to wear formal attire for dinner and dusk in the grounds. Hotel arranges pick up and drop off from the ferry. Make sure you have some drinks at the bar and enjoy the view of Mackinac Island and the lake.

Fun course! Not long but you must be straight off the tee. Takes a few holes to understand the greens. Number 7 is a tough, 235 yard par3.

Staff at the jewel are great Jason and Phil are always willing to help. We play there every year that we are there for the Grand Hotel jazz weekend (16 years so far) several times. It is truly one of the Hotelighlights.

Never been treated so poorly in my life. I have played golf in 27 states and I live in MI. The treatment I experienced leaves me disappointed and willing to tell everyone of the bad experience. Shame on the employees that don't show kindnesses to all not just guests of their hotel
