The last time we were here we didn't have kids - so a long time ago. Not sure why we hadn't been back but we came here for (day before) Mother's Day Dinner.My wife, likes fresh Oysters and Vin Room West has Oysters on Happy Hour Special ($2 per). She started with a dozen and they were so good that she got another dozen. For mains, my youngest got the kids pasta, my daughter got the crab cakes, my wife got the rack of lamb, and I got the rib eye. We also shared the Happy Hour Pomodoro x2 and Charcuterie Board.Everything was really good. Family enjoyed the meal. Rack of Lamb and Rib Eye was cooked to perfection. The Rib Eye was sliced up family share style.Our waiter (Dean?) was really great and really helpful with recommendations.Will definitely come back in a shorter time frame then the last - especially for the Oysters.

The vibe was off in this place. The servers didn’t really have that joie de vivre. It really wasn’t as inviting as it could be and my burger was salty. My friend had a burger as well and she said same. Our table did share the eggplant dish and the cauliflower as well. Those were tasty.

What a lovely time at Vin Room West. Met up with some friends of ours for happy hour. Great appy’s and wine/Prosecco on the happy hour menu. Moved onto the mussels and frites and they were fabulous. To top it all off, Mackenzie Ouellette blew us away with another of her fabulous cocktail creations. Thank you to the fabulous staff for a perfect evening. So thankful to have this place in our neighborhood.

We ordered take out from here a few months ago. We both ordered the Ribeye as well as the Crab Cakes. The restaurant was out of potato roasti, but then Phoebe & chef went out of their way to make it happen for us. Huge thanks for this! Plus, they even brought everything out to us in the parking lot. Everything was perfection! I also have to mention: the Eggplant Chips are to die for. Miss this place so much and can’t wait to come back! Support local!

Really good experience here tonight. The food was delicious, we had a bottle of the sparkling rose which was also delicious.Our waiter Duncan was very thorough and did an exceptional job walking us through the menu. He made the experience that much better

Do you want to have a celebration and you cannot find a private room where they want to please you, not impose a menu on you, and adapted to your budget? I strongly recommend you Vin Room. They have excellent attention, the chef has delicious creations that are a true delight palate, awesome selection of wines, craft beers and (Delicious kids menu just for$ 5)I have no words to express my gratitude to Vin Roon for making a last minute event, special and unbeatable. In just one day of booking it, they offered the best.Thanks

We had the great pleasure to dine at Vin Room West and it did truly delivered. From the great welcome of the staff then owner Phoebe to our amazing table we were set up for a great night. Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and wine pairings.The ambiance we fantastic and the night went by in a flash. The server knew his table as to when to ask to serve versus just serve which is a rare skill in my opinion.The Executive Chef Jose Lemus and team are genius in the kitchen and the plates were beautiful to look at before tasting.Highly recommend Vin Room West - your money to experience is of great value here. Can't wait to come back!

Great wine selection! Tried the Balanced cocktail for something new - lovely flavourful. My fav snack is the lobster nachos. They have a fantastic creme brule and good happy hour deals.

We made a reservation through Open Table for 8:30 pm. As we were pulling up at 8:28 pm I got a phone call asking if we knew the restaurant closes at 9 pm (I did not) and was informed we would need to order as soon as we sat down. It was a bit weird but I understand. We sat down and saw several tables still eating so it’s not like it was slow and staff was wanting to leave.We ordered drinks, and were ready to order food immediately but still the order wasn’t taken for 10 more minutes.We ordered oysters to start and then Duck for my main, Buda bowl for hubby and chicken strips for the kids.We waited 20 min and the chicken strips arrived, oysters came in 25minThey were fine, server did not tell us where they were from, minuet was meh, and the horseradish was obviously from a store bought bottle. Kids did enjoy the chicken strips.Oysters were finished quickly and we watched the kids eat. Then the kids finished and we continued to sit there and watched other tables sit and wait, as the staff chatted together at the bar, took vape breaks outside in front of us looking out the window, among other things.It took over 30 min for the main to come. My husbands rice bowel was fairly generic and my duck was very under done and cold. It had so much fennel in it, it was all I could taste. I tried a piece of grapefruit that came with it and even that tasted of fennel.Overall I left the restaurant starving even though I ate the cold under cooked duck.It was 118$ and not even close to worth it.Very disappointing, we will not be back.
