My husband got my custom engagement ring made at Thompson Jewellers and it's absolutely gorgeous! He was incredibly happy with the whole experience and we even went back to purchase a bracelet and a set of earrings for me to wear on our wedding day.

An incredibly pleasant experience buying a Tissot watch here. Such personal service and appreciation for your business regardless of the amount of money you're spending. The owner took his time to explain the watch movement and help adjust the strap links. The staff were very friendly and helpful in my initial visits browsing and trying on some of the selection. Thompson is a model of what local iconic establishments should be like.

Talin and the rest of the staff at Thompson's read my mind and turned my ideas into some amazingly unique pieces!Two wedding ring sets and one Amethyst ring/pendant/earring set represent 23 years of my life and I was at a loss as to what to do with them.Talin designed an Amethyst and silver ring and pendant that represent the resilience of picking myself back up and carrying with my life.The two wedding ring sets were transformed into two brilliant diamond rings that wrap around and compliment my Ammolite ring (separate purchase) that I can wear in multiple variations for various levels of formal wear.Thank you Talin and crew, you nailed it!! Jeff helped me diagnose my mechanical watch running 5+ minutes fast in a day - the band I bought for it was cheap and had a high iron content, so it got magnetized somehow. We eliminated some possibilities, and I'm hopeful using the leather strap will prevent any other issues. Friendly and extremely helpful! Will absolutely return to patronize this store.Update 3 years later: I've had only more and more positive experiences in getting watches serviced here. Quality service, fair pricing, convenient central location; I will be a patron here for as long as my watches keep ticking.

I have to write to say what an absolutely amazing experience it was to work with Talin and the team at Thompson’s. Top notch professionalism at every turn! Talin understood immediately what I wanted in my ring design. She provided great advice backed by years of experience and has a very keen eye for detail. I had purchased a great diamond but had a not so great setting I bought online some years ago. My setting needed to be completely overhauled and changed from a four prong solitaire setting to a basket setting with a halo. I gave Talin a pic of Tiffany’s “Soleste” setting which is exactly the style I wanted. I can’t say enough how fabulous it turned out!! The quality and craftsmanship I received went beyond my expectations! It looks exactly like the setting I wanted and is absolutely stunning. I now have my dream ring thanks to Talin and the amazing people at Thompson's. I have full confidence to recommend this wonderful business to anyone. I'm thrilled that I got my stunning round brilliant diamond engagement ring at Thompson Jewellers! My husband and I felt it was time to upgrade the existing one. Derrick (the owner) and Talin (sales associate) were very knowledgeable and sincere. I had visited almost every jewellery store in Ottawa before deciding upon Thompson Jewellers. They found me an incredibly high quality diamond at a very competitive price. We also received first class service since they went above and beyond. My husband and I had expected to only view the loose diamond when it had arrived in store. However, everything was ready and the custom platinum ring was spot on. We were so surprised and touched, which made the whole experience even more special for us. I ended up getting the ring of my dreams within a week (super quick) and I couldn't be happier!! :)

20 years ago, we went to Thompson’s for custom wedding rings. We were thrilled. Now, 20 years later, I knew Thompson’s was the only jeweller to go to for an anniversary ring. I didn’t want the “usual” anniversary type ring. While working with the kind, extremely knowledgeable and fun Talin, Thompson’s created a stunning Emerald cut/Trillion anniversary ring for me.
