A Victorian era wonder once stood here. Steam engines powered giant pumps which pressurized Detroit's water pipes. I think it was one of the most interesting and important locations in Detroit.Too bad, later the buildings and tower were demolished, the park shut to the public. Later, some, now long dead, men decided they know better than everyone else and started adding fluoride to the water. Now, the gates and doors locked, the toxic tanks of fluorosilicic acid, hidden away from the public.The Detroit River's water comes from the Great Lakes, some of the greatest lakes in the world. The Great Lakes contain no fluoride naturally, because that's the way it was meant to be.
