A beautiful spot in Prince Edward County. Really nice to visit for the views. I wish there were hiking trails there so that we could wander around the lake but unfortunately it appears that most of the land is privately owned.

We went here thinking there would be some trails by the lake to hike around but it truly is just a lake on a mountain. They have some picnic benches you can use when you visit with the family. It’s got a great view with clear water, although there isn’t much space once more people get there.

Wow, I did not expect views like this anywhere in Ontario, what a beautiful hidden gem. I've dubbed it the Canadian Caldera" jokingly. If you've been to Santorini

What a beautiful view! There is some parking but you have to pay $3 for 2 hours. I paid but actually only stayed 30/ minutes. There was not much to see or do unless you stop and have fun at one of the restaurants. Very nice, calm place to visit if you have the chance.

Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park
For a quick trip, this place is ideal. Not much going on around here except the beautiful scenery and views. The leaves were changing colors and we wanted to be there around sunset. After a day at Sandbanks Provincial Park this was about our speed. Nice little area to walk around and spots to sit and just look. A mysterious place indeed as they don't know how the water stays at this level, it has runoffs that fill streams and rivers but nothing to fill the Lake on the Mountain itself, not unlike Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca except on a much smaller scale and nowhere near as high, not really sure you can call this a mountain either but beautiful place nonetheless

Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park
So, it is a neat spot, the view of Lake Ontario is lovely and the contrast of the Lakes on the Mountain being so much higher up is very cool. But that is about all I can say. You have a picnic area and about 20 feet of trail to admire the lake, and a washroom. No real swimming area or spot to put in things like kayaks. There are a couple restaurants (vegans, pack your own food), and a resort. Might be a nice spot if you get into the resort to stay a bit. Otherwise just a unique picnic area with a good view.

Beautiful place to visit with a lake on one level and another bay of Quinte on other side. Also took a ferry to visit Glenora Ontario, best part was the ferry ride was free. One hops on to it on their own car, it's a 15 minute ride. It was super cold and the water was frozen, our first time travelling in a frozen lake, simply awesome
