I called right as the business was opening after being stuck driving w/ no power steering and having received a warning light that my steering rack had failed the night before. They quoted me on the job within minutes (thousands of dollars) & told me they could complete the job that day but stopped me from doing so first and explained they would recommend I get the vehicle scanned first before worrying about such a sizable job/expense. I agreed to do so, and brought my car down. They promptly welcomed me and reassured me they would contact me later that morning with updates and details, and sure enough within a couple hours, they were calling to tell me that their scan just indicated the one off incident, likely due to cold, but that upon further physical and visual inspection, everything looked ok with no leaking/failed hoses or components, and they said their opinion was to hold off on such a sizable job, and rather to monitor for the return of the steering issue. My bill in the end was a fraction of what it could have been (and I'd have been an easy mark to overcharge) but when faced with an easy opportunity to take on a job during what seemed as a slow day, that could have easily rung up over a couple grand in totals on the job, they remained honest and upfront with me and that showed integrity that many other small shops may not share. I *really* appreciated how up front and down to earth the operation was, and wouldn't hesitate to return for future work from these folks. Thanks for being a small business that serves as a role model for others and consider me to be a returning and recommending customer!

I don't usually review but whichever guy picked up my call made me do it. I called to check and see if someone could see my car for a oil leakage to make sure it wasn't urgent. And the guy responded so rudely and and told me to drop off tomorrow and sounded like he didn't wanted the business. All i can say to him learn to talk to your customers even though you guys are busy

I brought my vehicle in to put on winter tires and to have the breaks done as they were making a noise when breaking and the car is five years old and breaks have never been replaced. I was told that the breaks are still good and should be checked again the spring. I appreciate that this business is very honest as they easily could have replaced the brakes and I would not have questioned it. It is nice to have a mechanic that you can trust!

It says closed at 4pm and we arrived at 2:50pm, a guy said he is off, closed, and refuse to help at all.The owner explained that he had an emergency, and it’s true I should have called in advance. However I didn’t get any help as a tourist, so a little disappointed, hope service are fine to local people and return customers.

James is amazing. Not only did he explain things in detail but he was patient and fair. It was the best experience I have ever had when dealing with car repairs. I highly recommend Stafford Auto Service to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic service! I came in out of town with issues and James was able to get me in quickly and take care of the problem right away. He was incredibly helpful and made sure I was able to get going where I needed to. This will be my go to place in Winnipeg going forward. Plus they are open Saturdays!!

The team here is always informative and fair with their assessments. They have done great work for me multiple times and always let me know what should be addressed immediately as well as things that need will need future attention. Great pricing and speed of service too.

Hands down the best auto repair shop in the city. They do excellent work and James seems to really care about providing the best service possible.
