Butchart Gardens Coffee Shop
Very disappointed with the service we received from a staff person dressed all in black (unfortunately did not catch her name in the exchange). Upon completion of our meal, my family and I were packing up getting ready to go. One child began to cry at leaving as we had a great time up to this point. We were then approached by a staff member asking if we needed any assistance and insisting we leave immediately as 'children become more upset' when we stay. If this staff member had paused for a moment to see what was happening she would have seen a packed table and our family exiting the building. Instead what she did was publicly shame and encourage us to leave because a child was crying. Perhaps some compassion or sensitivity is necessary as I believed Butchart Gardens to be inclusive to all.

Butcher Gardens is one of the most stunning 4 season floral displays anywhere. Especially colorful and diverse during summer it features a beautiful variety of blooms throughout the year. An absolute must see when visiting Victoria or Vancouver Island.

This cafe attached to the Butchart gardens feels like stepping back in time!Very cute and old-school vibes. The food was tasty and super generous in portions. The staff are very friendly but work off their feet it gets so so busy!Loved the scones so much, we ended up taking more to go. Coffee and hot chocolate were both super tasty as well.

Love the coffee shop at Butchart Gardens. The staff are always amazing and welcoming. Very efficient with their service as well. They have a good variety of treats as well as sandwiches, soup, light bites, etc. The scones are really nice, especially heated with butter and jam. The coffee room is bright and airy in summer and cosy and warm in the winter. They have a lovely fireplace and lots of beautiful decor. I have been here many times and it is always immaculately clean. Never had anything less than a wonderful experience.

A very cozy place to have some tea or pastries after finishing your tour of the gardens. Everything was pretty basic. The staff were so friendly and the service was very fast.

Casual place to pick up drinks, snacks, lunch or dessert. Indoor seating, restrooms, outdoor seating, etc.Order at the counter and pick up order. Choose where you want to sit.Sunny, large spot to regroup at Butchart Gardens. No photos of coffee shop, but actually a charming setting. More cafe than cafeteria.No reservations required and very short lines (even on a busy day) with multiple stations for ordering.

Wow! Compare this to any US National Park Cafe, and you won't go back to the USA. So clean, kind, and personable. Excellent coffees and snacks not produced to a price point.

Butchart Gardens Coffee Shop
We were there around noon on Jul 12th (2023) and decided to have a lunch at this coffee shop. I went to the counter to see the menu and asked staff about gluten free options etc. A young woman named I think Brianna was answering my questions. They were also selling blankets and I asked if it was real blanket or a dish name. At that point she looked at other staff member and rolled her eyes. That was very disrespectful and rude.Other than that, the garden was stunning and we enjoyed it very much.
