Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Burnaby)
Very fun place! It's pay by weight so it can get a little pricey if you fill up on heavy items, but the variety of ingredients was nice and the soup bases my bf and I got were delicious. If you want a fun flavor combo, get the Szechuan Green Pepper broth (the numbing one) and a passionfruit tea! The staff were also very friendly, a big thank you to our servers ❤

Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Burnaby)
The food here is good, so I often order delivery, but there are times when the food I choose is not included. And when I order noodles and rice together, one of them is always missing. I don't think I'll be ordering from here anymore after confirming that several were not included in my recent order. Always double-check when others order or pick up in the future.

I went there on a weekday at about 515 and wasn't busy but time I sat down the line up was pretty busy. Food seemed fresh. Servers were helpful and polite. Free ice-cream at the end!

Very friendly staff and a good live line waiting/ reservation system. I enjoyed the freshness and the variety in their items! TIP: avoid shelled items like crab, clams, etc. to be mindful of weight LOL food was yummy!Linda was a sweet heart at explaining how to choose your items and broth, how to pay, and that we get free ice cream. Nyet (?) at the pay counter was patient when we asked for reprints of our receipts.

Very straightforward. They will give you a pot and tongs to get the stuff you want. You're gonna pay by the weight and tell which broth flavor you want. You will be seated and then the food will be served in your table. Free ice cream, lemon water and milk tea after. Happy tummy. A lot of food options. We went here Friday noon and there was no waiting list. Just 1-3min line up to wait for the first person in front of you getting the food they want from the shelves.

Quick and friendly service, decent soup base, wide selection of ingredients, but extremely long wait time.Pretty good malatang spot, especially since there aren't many around the area. No minimum amount of weight needed. They cook the food very quickly.Had the sha cha soup base and it was a tad on the salty side. The bowl still tasted pretty good though.Not bad if you're craving hotpot style food and want to pace yourself.

This place is the best. First, you don't have to wait in line. They have a digital line, so if you can time it right, you will be able to walk right in and not wait. The selection you get to put in your soup or dry is the most I have ever seen, and the ingredients are fresh. We also enjoyed our soup with a alcohol bubble tea, sooo yummy! The staff are super friendly and are on top of everything at this location. And to top it all off, you get ice cream at the end of your meal. This place is one of my top restaurants, and I highly recommend checking this place out it will not disappoint.

Big Way is the hybrid of a hot pot place and a buffet. There's a supermarket-style food area where you can grab an assortment of meats and vegetables. The pricing is by weight, so for meat lovers, it's certainly a treat!I would normally get all my vegetable servings in before coming, that way I can enjoy my entire 1kg pot of meat completely guilt free!There's a bunch of flavours to choose from, including but not limited to specialty ma la (spicy) tang, satay soup, collagen soup, tomato soup, and more!Did I mention spiked bubbletea? You can even have those classic drinks spiked with whiskey/vodka and more!The sauces include a peanut sauce that I usually don't see in over hot pot areas, it is definitely my favourite out of all.One thing though, between dinner hours of 6-8, it does get very busy, but there's a lineup that you can use to secure a spot in line. Then you can simply walk around until they call you.They have a 5 minute grace period to enter the restaurant!4/5 Due to the actual wait. Great hotpot! It was self serve with lots of variety. Don't get too carried away because it can be very filling. The soup broths are fantastic but I would recommend mild because it can get quite hot. The spiked bubble tea was good but they may be skimpy on the vodka. And the lemon ice cream at the end was fantastic!

Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Burnaby)
They need a better ordering and sitting system. There were so many people waiting at random spots inside. We were definitely rushed at the end of our meal. Huge selection of ingredients but the Ma La tang soup base was a bit disappointing. The lychee sparkling drink was super refreshing and would recommend.
