Quality Inn Waddling Dog

Well in advance, we booked a group of 43 people into the Quality Inn Waddling Dog, a hotel that shouldn't be in the group booking business. They were totally unprepared for group reservations, resulting in a check-in that lasted over an hour, ruining our group's evening plans. They also did not have the correct number of rooms, nor the correct combination of single kings and double queens as reflected in a contract that I had signed with them weeks earlier.We were touring with a youth group, which meant we had to have a rooming list for chaperones. Every hotel we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed at many dozens over the years) has required us to submit a rooming list in advance, and upon check-in, they provide the tour director or leader with a rooming list that has already assigned room numbers to that list. With this industry-standard system, check-in of 43 people can take five minutes.At the Quality Inn Waddling Dog, we were handed 14 (not the 15 we contracted for) room keycards, and a stack of individual room contracts (rather than a master contracts), each requiring three initials and a signature. It was a do-it-yourself" check-in with the added twist of not having the necessary rooms available. Inexcusable.Additionally

Flying in and out of Victoria, we parked and stayed at this charming and cozy Inn! As you walk in there is a lovely, warming fragrance, on your left is a beautiful and inviting library/common room (where the LARGE breakfast spread happens) and a few steps further was a friendly welcome from Natalia. Our room is pleasantly quaint, clean, comfortable and fresh. Easy to use TV, and great, functional furniture. FINALLY someone clued in about hooks!! I love hooks. Will stay again! Fantastic breakfast! I really appreciate that they arranged transportation to the airport too. It is and has been, the perfect beginning and end to our vacation.

It is the best place to stay in Victoria by far. Very big, clean, and quiet rooms. No sounds from room above. The staff is excellent and cheerful. The breakfast is a hot breakfast and is very delicious. The food in the pub is also very good and affordable. I give this motel an excellent rating, would recommend it to everyone, and will definitely make this our place to stay while visiting family in Victoria.

Just checked out from a wonderful stay at the waddling dog. Thrilled to find a clean and comfortable hotel that is super dog friendly!Beds were super comfortable and sheets felt brand new - will definitely book here next time

This is the loveliest pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. The hotel itself has a wonderful rustic charm, the staff were incredibly friendly and extremely welcoming to our pups. We spent a very pleasant evening at the pub attached to the hotel where the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding was delicious washed down with a pint of Guinness. We will definitely be back again.
