Nelson Lumber Edmonton

Brutal service.. was told my door would be in just after the new year. Ordered before Christmas... no phone call or anything.. I call end of January its there.. come to pick up today. Yold to go to bay 6 and wait, someone will load me. Wait for 10+mins. Nobody around. Was waiting out in the freezing cold for Nobody. Had to call the front desk to get someone out there. Then took 10 mins to find the door.. need better organization, customer service. Just got it home and opened. Water damage on two sides. Thanks for storing it in a puddle...

I went to Nelson lumber on St Albert trail for supplies to build my deck. I got great service at the front counter and in the yard as well. The Spray Lakes Mill has good lumber and you can get it at Nelson Lumber. They also have lots of hardware supplies like carriage bolts, joist hangers, different types of hardware for construction. And the staff there know a lot or have done the thing so can help. I also did my attic insulation with Nelson, DIY blow-in insulation. That worked out pretty good too. See Mark if you are looking to do the insulation job.

I tried calling to check on a specific item that Nelson is supposed to supply. The first rep I spoke to put me on hold and hung up on me. Second rep was incredibly rude and doubted that the first rep was checking anything. Called a third time and was hung up on again. Finally the fourth rep told me that I would have to come to the store to order my item. After asking him to check that it could be supplied, he gave me a price and a 2-3 day timeline.The next day, I drove to Nelson to order my item. The lady at the desk was pleasant to deal with, but the lack of care in all of the employees working at the customer service desk is very evident. She contacted the supplier to find out that the fourth rep I spoke to yesterday had not contacted them (supplier) at all. She was surprised that he had given me a price and a timeline after she was informed that the item would come next year sometime.To end it all I asked to speak to the manager to express my frustration.After letting him know that I wasted a good amount of time on the phone and drove to Nelson due to one of his employees telling me that they could get my item in 2-3 days and i had to come to the store to pay/order, his fix to the problem was sorry

Thank you to reception staff for over the phone help. Unfortunately Nelson Lumber did not carry what we were looking for but the were able to refer me to another supplier that was able to fill our last minute order and complete a project on time.

Poor customer service! This not the first time i called and ask for the product availability and pricing they always drop the phone!

High prices, had to call multiple times as someone kept hanging up on me

We will never use Nelson Lumber again, and will make sure no one we know uses them either. Buidling a house for first time, and they made so many errors with truss design, etc. They must just plug info into a computer instead of using their brains or common sense. Customer service is brutal and they are rude and don't seem to care. They left extra material at our job site for weeks, even after being asked to remove it..We are still correcting mistakes that they made. Avoid at all cost!!!

Great customer service and very good selection of tolls and much more. If you are looking for a fast sale associated, talk to Ivan. He is knowledgeable and quick at his job.

Not a great experience with nelson lumber, specifically Maggie. She is prioritizing bigger customers over smaller customers like myself. If you are a small customer beware that you may be waiting weeks to months for something that could be done and delivered in a few days. Unimpressed.

If you want to be ripped off and prices suddenly changed on you then this is your goto store. Absolutely despicable what the guy at the till tried to do to us. He suddenly tried to say that the price increased and this was the new price. You legally cannot do this. The price that is listed on the items is what you pay, not what you feel like I should pay. I really hope no one else was ripped off by this shady place.
