Speaking as someone who has lived here for many years; Im warning anyone who might be considering living here:The board members will make your life hell if you’re young, if you have kids or if they decide that they simply don’t like you. They will do everything they can to scare you & threaten to evict you many times for arbitrary, non-sensical reasons.Dont ever expect them To be impartial when they make decisions regarding your livelihood. They couldn’t care less if you end up homeless.Let alone “ this co-op is all about being a community “.The only goal this coop has is to occupy units as quickly as possible with vulnerable people or those who are struggling.That way; they can generate income by exploiting those same vulnerabilities.( whether it be physical health, being a single mother, & other disabilities ect).There is not even One person here (other than board members, of course.) that has not at one time or another been threatened with being evicted.**There are reasons for the extreme high turnover rate in this coop.**Welcome to “Hope” co-op; where there is none to be found.
