H&R Block

Awful experience. My advisor missed SO many things. Had my brother in law check over what he did and I missed out on over $1500 because of the incompetence of my advisor. I went in person specifically to talk about my tax situation and he gave one word answers to all my questions, didnt clarify anything, and was generally miserable. I will never go back again.

They completely messed up my partner's taxes with the CRA and a $500 return is now missing. Wasted our time during an unnecessary hour-long in person appointment where the tax expert" was disorganized

I had a great experience here! Ayse was amazing and helped me file a number of tax returns. Massive weight off my shoulders. Thanks again Ayse for your expertise and for guiding me through the process quickly.

extremely expensive. I walked in and had to sit for 30 min even tho I had an appointment. Walked out with a $700 bill for just filling my US and Canadian taxes and I’m a university student with minimal income. This shouldn’t even be legal, putting couple numbers in a computer shouldn’t cost half a grand. I’m filing my own taxes with Turbo Tax from now on. If not my old account who lives far charges me $50 max.

This one star is for Ghada Nour, unprofessional and greedy.This year (2023) another 1 star for Donald Belch, i had an appointment, i showed up early, waited 25 minutes, i asked why am i waiting and they offer me another appointment for another day. Thanks

This is now the 3rd time I’ve posted this as it keeps getting deleted. I will continue to post it every time it gets deleted. Made an appointment for Sept 15th. Show up and was told they were too busy (why did I make an appointment then) and to leave my information, they would call within 1-2 weeks. It’s now October 21st and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve called several times with no answer. I’m about to give birth any day and have a 1 year old, I don’t have time for this! I would have gone somewhere else if I had of known it was going to take this long and be this difficult. It’s not even tax season, why is this taking so long?

I'm a permanent resident and I was having anxiety about completing my first tax returns here in Canada. These folks, more specifically Stephanie took complete care of me. This is the busiest time of the year for her and she still spent considerable amount of time with my wife and I.I can't speak for the other reviews listed but it appears that folks are upset about the prices. I found that they were reasonable based on what we needed done (this isn't turbo tax or some online software, its an actual person talking you through why they are doing what they are doing). I'd recommend this particular H&R Block to my friends, as well as my family.

***STAY AWAY, ZERO STARS***I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow (April 4) and get a call today requesting a 'drop off' instead of the appointment. I could manage that but it wasn't what I wanted or requested. The lady (Xiaming Williams) flat out said she's too busy (didn't dance around it) and works on commercial and US taxes. She complained about having to do personal taxes and that they keep booking her for online appointments. I bet that is frustrating but I'm a customer - not appropriate at all to complain about your job to me.Atop of that, she kept giving me excuses (no solutions, just excuses) to why I couldn't do an in person appointment. I got to the point when I asked if I was better going elsewhere, and she said maybe try a different H&R block. Then said, she can book me with her colleague. The confirmation email I received was for the wrong date (after I told her I could not make the 10th, she booked it on the 10th).So I called, looking to speak to a supervisor. Got a lovely lady who unfortunately had the wrong number for a supervisor. The revised number given also wrong. When I asked if I could leave my compliant with her, she said it's best they hear it from me, so here you go - my compliant.You're so disorganized and highly unprofessional, why would I trust you with my taxes? Answer I'm not. No wonder the rating is so low! I should have checked first and saved myself the hassle. No worries, since you're too busy I've arranged to have my taxes somewhere else.Quite unbelievable.

Took me all of 2 mins to experience the 1 star experience many others have reported. Only come here if you just want to get it done they are 0 help explaining anything and will not help get the most for your return. My tool expenses were scoffed at and denied even as a certified ontario arborist.This is the McDonalds of accounting the workers just want to crank out clients and get paid....

Possibly the worst experience i have ever had at a commercial establishment…Charged me way over the asking price and totally screwed up my US tax return..Stephanie claims to be a US tax expert but doesn’t know the ABCs…USE THIS SERVICE AT YOUR OWN PERIL
