Great store to stop for snacks and wander around. Always new stuff coming in.

My experience here was just disgusting. My gf and I were on bikes and we had our gear on our backs. I guess we didn't look like we had much of anything because we were basically accused for stealing the owner was just ignorant. I didn't even want to spend my money there but we needed a couple things so I got it and left and I'll never go back. Just unbelievable.

We use to camp that way as kids every summer and visited that store often. 20 years later (this past summer) we went back and camped and of course visited. We bought a bunch of clothing. Amazing hoodies! Very comfy! Wish I had bought more. I'm over 4 hours away or I'd come back for more! Great store and the owner (I assume she was) was very nice.

Great place to pick up Maynooth, Lake St. Peter and Baptiste Lake souvenirs ar reasonable prices. Good selection of moccasins. Basic selection of your necessary groceries and snacks. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic general country store specializing in basic groceries, local souvenirs and Canadian products. The Moccasin section must be visited! Also a wonderful collection of Dutch products, both sweet and savoury treats.

Our family has been vacationing near Maynooth for over twenty years and each year we always make sure to stop into the general store. Aside from actual groceries and supplies, they have all kinds of great toys, games and activities for kids, including a huge assortment of northern themed stuffed animals (moose, bears, loons, etc.).They also have awesome souvenir items like mugs, clothing and t-shirts with great designs (as well as their own classic bear logo) and even stock authentic Canadian made moccasins and mukluks. And if that wasn't enough, they just introduced their own brand of coffee! It wasn't available when we were there, but they were kind enough to mail it to us for a small fee. It's fantastic!The owners are great, salt of the earth people. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Maynooth General store is a unique little place that sells a little of everything. From nice sweaters to stuffies for the kids to grocery items and lottery. You'll find what you need here and then some. I always stop in to grab pepperettes and snacks while we're in the area.
