Had a couple of recent visits to this diner. We were impressed that they offer many homemade items, including fresh cut fries and homemade bread (they even offered us gluten free bread). Good hearty food! We also really enjoyed the casual and friendly service.

The food was good and made quickly. Other people have made comments they felt not served well for not being native, but I didn't have that at all. They were very friendly and food was very affordable.

Great service. If your looking for homemade, you've come to the right place. Good portions, good prices. But omg, don't be in a hurry. Takes forever to get your food.

Came here for breakfast based on reviews, and would definitely go out of my way to come back! Great food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and homemade bread! What more can you ask for?

The food was good. Regarding the service, you need at least 3 people on the floor at all times. There was one person doing so many jobs at once.

After spending two months on Manitoulin Island in the winter and trying many of the available dining options that weren't closed for the season, I have to say that this particular restaurant was quite underwhelming. The food seemed to be made from generic, low-quality ingredients that you could find in a grocery store freezer aisle, and to make matters worse, part of our order was also incorrect.Additionally, the atmosphere was quite strange, as it felt like we were being scrutinized by other customers. While we understand that we may have stood out as non-natives on a reserve and non-Canadians, it was surprising to encounter such an unwelcoming vibe, especially as we are white and haven't experienced this kind of attitude elsewhere in Canada.Anyhow, I'd say get your lunch elsewhere.

Looked run down so I didnt know what to expect but it was amazing! The staff was very friendly. We ordered the special which was a toasted egg salad sandwich on homemade bread, soup, and fries. Everything was incredible. The food came out very quickly. Prices were great too. I will definatly go back.

It's your typical hometown diner, prices are fair, quality is great and the staff are outstanding! Nothing says welcome like a mom and pop restaurant! Thanks for everything you do keep up the good work!

Although this restaurant has been open for some time now I dislike. I don't know if it's just me personally but almost every time I ate dine in or take out I had issues. Either parts of my food was old especially lettuce. It was always brown and wilted. It's like as if leftover food was reheated and reused. At one time the cook was young and not certified. The food was not very good or not very appealing to see. Times I ordered take out I paid sixty to eighty dollars, only to find that when I get home half my order was missing. Living in a growing community and seeing other restaurants come and go I was surprised this one had stayed open the longest.
