Orléans Express

Took a day trip from Montréal to Québec City and back with Orléans Express in early May 2023. It was easy to find schedules and book my trip online on their website. I accessed my e-ticket through their app. Courteous, safe drivers. Clean and modern motorcoaches. Buses ran on schedule during my trip. My only quibble with their service was that the advertised WiFi was not available. Overall, good transportation service.

The website (English & French) is good, and online booking is easy. The app is good, and the digital tickets work well. My outbound and inbound buses departed on time, the driver was courteous (same driver for both directions) and gave announcements in English and French. A welcome email is sent after boarding, with WiFi instructions, etc. (I wonder why passengers’ vaccination passes were not checked - are they not required on intercity buses, just on trains and airplanes? One passenger, at least, was not wearing her mask correctly or at all during the journey.) The bus was very clean, and spacing between passengers was accomplished with some seats marked as unavailable. USB charging outlets are at each seat, and WiFi is available onboard. The digital clock display is appreciated. I have another two journeys booked…

I read the other reviews after our trip. I was so surprised!Our trip from Montréal to Québec was easy to book online on day-of. They clearly laid out the difference between a flex & non-flex ticket, refund/cancellation policies, etc. I didn't register with an account so they emailed us pdfs of tickets. No issues. All staff were pleasant - ticket agent, ticket checker, driver. We changed our return ticket to an earlier bus, with no issues. Buses left on time. Easy boarding. Smooth ride. Plushy seats with room. Charging ports available at every seat.½ star off because though wifi was available, it didn't work for husband or I. I'd use Orléans again.

My flight got cancelled at the last minute so I needed to change my bus departure time. So, I called the customer service number and it directed me to the authorized person I guess (I was on hold for approximately 15 min each time), finally someone answered my call in French when I had chosen the English option. Anyway, he answered my call in French and asked me if I speak French, to which I said no I don't. And, he just hangs up my call all of a sudden without saying a word. I called them again second time, the same thing happened, and the same guy answered my call, asked me the same question and I said no, I don't speak French; and he said wait a minute and then hangs up again. By this point, I was getting frustrated to be honest, but still I called them again., same process, on hold for 15-20minutes, the same guy answers. This time, before he hangs up, he said can you please find someone who speaks English as this is very urgent to me. He didn't let me complete my sentence and just hangs up on me again for the third time. This is ridiculous. customer service are there for a reason, if they can not assist us when we needed them the most during urgent situation like right now, I don't thing we need any customer service at all. I had the world's terrible experience contacting the Orleans express today. Never again in my life would ever use this express nor recommend anyone for their service. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would have given a zero if there was an option.

*Be aware* that if for some reason they cancel your bus (they don’t even give previous notice like an email or a call or a message) they do not care if you get stuck, the attendants are cynical and they do not even provide advice of another way back home. the reimbursement is a long long process, they don’t pickup the phone cause they’re so busy. Please I beg you to consider other options before such as kangaride, even Uber at the end is almost the same price or cheaper If you’re 3 or more people. My advice: stay far from this company they have terrible service and terrible customer service.

I bought a ticket for October 27, 2022 from Ottawa to Montreal Airport whose ticket says printed that there is a refund if you do not use it by paying 25% of the value notifying 24 hours before.Last Saturday I filled out the refund request and yesterday October 3, 2022 they informed me that they have reimbursed the value with another ticket for February 2, 2023. No one asked me, I will be in another country until March 2023.The decision they make for me is really bad, instead of giving me 75% of the ticket, they send me a ticket that I didn't ask for.This company is unreliable, has no respect for consumers and has been laughed at in my face. It is not the amount in dispute, it is the simple fact of NOT RESPECTING consumers.

Cancelled the trip yesterday after the bus had already departed and was almost halfway to our destination. Then they were not prepared to give us refunds on arrival, the app didn’t work properly and the phone was busy for roughly 4 hours, and when I finally got through I was left on hold for 40 minutes. Not a company I would trust again with any important travel.

There are promo to buy ticket, otherwise its high price. They have 3 trip from YUL airport to Quebec City, But more trips from Gareautocars Montreal .
