This was a great introduction to LTC homes. This was my placment as a Practical Nursing student. The staff shared their knowledge and skills with me. The facility is considered a home for the residents. This mindset is the premis for respect and quality care that is given to each resident. Great opportunity for both work and placement opportunities.

This home will hire just about any home care worker off the street without thoroughly checking their qualifications, refernces or work history obtaining to their position

Staff is brutally mean to new staff members. One orientation I was put on the floor without knowing residents and their needs. RN was notified but saw nothing wrong in putting those residents at risk. Older staff members bully newer ones and RN was part of the problem because they would tell her what they want done and she'll enforce it without asking. Left a note for management a week ago...nothing done as yet! All this in the Brant Terrace. I must thank Sandy(Brant) , Jennifer and the nights PSW(Davies) for treating me like the human being i am. On a brighter note...residents are great and are treated well.

If you are looking into working here, I repeat DO NOT, DO NOT work here if you want to sustain your mental health. This is not an ideal place to work as the environment is really toxic, you will get blamed things that people did in the shift.

What I have seen today on live from your nursing home is a shame.How can you have a joyful heart treating your patients worse than in a jail.Let their loved ones in to visit without any restrictions.These people you treat are the ones who stood up for your freedom. Do not forget.Please do not hesitate and listen to your heart. Who cares if you loose your job, it's more important to stand up for these seniors and another door will open up for your career.God is great and I seriously hope he will open your hearts and let the love in.
