The Peacock Boutique Consignment (Beltline)
Consigning at Peacock Boutique has helped me keep my closet clean and organized. It's so much easier to part with items when you can get a couple bucks for them! The customer service is fantastic, they always email you a list of the items you have on the floor/sold/etc. and send payouts for free over $150 or just charge the e-transfer transaction fee if it's under.Shout out to Helen for calling me right away to respond to a question/concern I had recently, I really appreciated this. All 3 locations are awesome and have great items to pick from when shopping too. You genuinely don't feel like you're in a preloved shop they are so beautifully decorated and merchandised with only high-quality, in-style items.

This place a rip off, I went and brought 2 huge bags full of almost new clothing, belts and purses, everything was washed and ironed I had clothes that had the tags on them. Pants, jeans, brand new skirt, dresses and tops that were bought from Amsterdam, Italy and Germany before gaining weight. then a week later i went there i said how come i don't see my items here in the shop? they said you have only $2 for a skirt that was sold. be supper careful, do not leave items with these people. has an awful experience and will never forget.

I have been a fun and bought stuff for years before she even opened the beltline boutique. I bought stuff from $10 items, $100 plus shoes to almost $600 Tory Burch leather elegant back purse. My experience last month was unacceptable and I am still in disbelief and a bit disappointed. I bought bunch of stuff and some jewelry, it was closing time . Got home to put away my stuff and noticed one of the ring the stone was off. The following day I went back in the morning and talked to the girl who remembered me. The ring still had tags on and showed it to her. I told her I don’t need money back but would prefer store credits so that I can get something else. I also told her that I was travelling, she also had to wait for the owner to respond. They called me while travelling and told me that, I will not getting any refund or credit. I had no time to really respond with bad connections phone cut off.No one have contacted me ever since. Peacock still have my MONEY and the RING that I paid. Since then it has been 2 weeks and I haven’t heard back with my money or the ring. I have introduced so many friends of mine and people that I work with to shop both Kensington and Beltline. The owner she was very nice all the time I have been there , I am confused why all over the suddenly she will act this way. I hope she will reach out because even WINS which is not near to her fancy boutique they will accommodate. The thing is they have both my money and my merchandise that I purchased?

Great place to shop - beautiful stores, friendly staff, and unique/oddball items. As a consigner, I'll go elsewhere. They have no set sale schedule; instead, the entire store could be 50% off at any time without warning. I dropped off a number of items four weeks ago, and since then, the entire store has been 50% off twice. Every other consignment store has a set sale schedule (i.e. items are discounted by 25% after one month on the floor, then 50% after two months, with a final end of season clearance). This gives items at least a month to sell for full price. It's disappointing to drop items off at Peacock and have them selling for 50% off three days later.

I’ve had fantastic repeat experiences with consigning at the Beltline Peacock Boutique.A few months ago, I decided to start paring down my wardrobe and letting go of garments that no longer suit my personal style. I find that paring down my clothing is one of the hardest things to do, because I get a weird attachment to certain pieces. It’s still not easy, but the staff at Peacock have made it a pleasure. It’s nice to receive a bit of money from the sales, but to be honest with you, it’s even nicer to engage with the folks who work there. The last time I walked over to Peacock, I passed by a homeless man who was passed out on the corner of the street next to his cart. I noticed that other pedestrians looked concerned and uncomfortable, but they kept on walking by. I didn’t have my phone on me, so I couldn’t do anything, but when I got to Peacock, I asked them if they would call the DOAP team on my behalf. Not only did they already know the number, but they also knew to reach out to Bear Clan Patrol as well. One staff member made phone calls, while another staff member quickly put on some shorts so that she could hop on her bicycle and see if the man needed Naloxone treatment. I wanted to cry because I was so taken aback at how ready they were to help out a vulnerable person. One of the folks who works there also volunteers at Good Neighbour, which is a pay-what-you-can store that serves vulnerable populations who can’t afford to buy clothes at thrift or consignment stores, has a free food fridge, etc. Thanks to Peacock, I learned about this important resource in my community. They even display business cards for Good Neighbour up at the front. We’ve had the most amazing conversations about food injustice, income inequity, and topics that many people shy away from.

I can’t tell you how much it means to have a conisgnment store in the neighbourhood where the staff members truly understand that up-cycling isn’t just about making money, but about upholding an ethos that reflects how we show up in the world. Their decency and integrity has inspired me to reflect on how I live my own life and what I can do to show up in a way that is aligned with my own values. The clothes that they accept tend to be high-quality and they're very selective. However, the more that I consign at Peacock, the better I understand what they're looking for. I think that how a consignment store says no" is just as important

My first time visiting this establishment and it was not a glowing experience. My first impression was that it is very trending and has a nice aesthetic, which held true. However, beyond this - many of the clothes had markings on them and flaws, however were priced considerable too high for their worth. They have many popular brands, such as Zara, Aritzia and topshop, however most people go to consignments for a deal or unique items - none of which I found. The prices were approximately 60% of the original item, however often with excessive wear and out of style. Not a good deal in my opinion. In addition, I had a negative experience with staff. I noticed a dress falling off its hanger and was hanging it up and the sales associate asked to start me a room and I said no, I was just hanging it up and she actually rolled her eyes. On the way out - we said thank you and they stared at us with no response, as if because we didn’t purchase anything we were not worth customer service.Unimpressed. Will not be back.

I had consigned two large bags of like new clothing, purses and shoes with peacock and was surprised to learn I had only earned around $70 for the entire haul. I enquired further and received an email summary of items that made it to the floor and found out a brand new designer purse and several pairs of levis shorts and jeans I had included were ‘donated’, items I would have absolutely would have expected to be sold. I’ve made better profits consigning clothes at other boutiques so won’t be back. Disappointing because the beltline shop was in a convenient location for me.

Amazing clothes, great mix of basics and fun pieces. Prices are reasonable. I just wish the jeans were more accessible (had to stand on my tippy toes to see sizes).

The staff were so great and friendly. I was picking up a couple items that I purchased off Instagram. And on my way to the store my daughter (10 months) had a accident and needed to be changed! The two ladies running the till, made space for us and provided a space for myself to clean the little peanut up. It was so wonderful to be offered the space judgement free! I really appreciate the kindness, patience and understanding your store and staff gave us in that stressful moment. And the t-shirt and hat are super cute and I can't wait to drop off some items!
