Yard Creek Campground
This is a provincial park and not a commercialized rv park. No showers. Pit toilets only but they're quite clean. Decent cell service (Bell for me). Potable water taps throughout. Some background highway noise but I didn't find it intrusive. Very nice wooded sites - take your pick and self-register for $25. Not at all crowded on a Friday in August. Really nice. Fire ban so no campfires which is a blessing for me as my sinuses don't find smoke particularly good - especially when people throw garbage in to burn. Would definitely stay again. I did hear a train in the far distance but, again, didn't find it at all intrusive.

I weigh about 190 pounds, give or take. Coincidentally, this is also about the combined weight of the mosquitoes I killed in a four hour period at this campsite. Left without making breakfast or packing up properly because it was so unpleasant.

Beautiful park. Camp spots slightly smaller.Fantastic walk to the creek. Awesome for the family to be able to see the salmon spawning!

Very glad we came across this place. RV area is very spacious and well thought out. Something for everyone from biggest to smallest 65 site's and the price per night will put a smile on your face. Oh there is drinkable water throughout and a sanitation dump.

25$ a night now that they have full phone signal and wifi. Sites are surrounded by trees so you can not see your neighbors. Really clean with a friendly/helpful owner. Plus it is right off the highway so it is a handy stop. I've been coming here for years and there are always empty sites (hidden gem)If your looking to enjoy nature, yet like to have phone signal, this is the place to go.

We have stayed at Yard Creek for our family get togethers over a few years. The staff have always been awesome, and a accommodating. The campground is clean, and well maintained. The sites are well treed and fairly private. The creek is right there for you to cool off in. Although this is a rustic campground it has always been a great stay. (Sorry for this late review I meant to submit this last summer)

Favorite campground. We have been coming here for the past 10+years we have a favorite site! Clean and beautiful well maintained. My youngest son was very intrigued by the banana slugs!

Hard to spot turnoff eastbound. Westbound requires catching turnoff from left lane just before crossroad. There is room but it can be intimidating.Campground sign is on hillside by the woods in line with the crossroad.Once in the campground, the first,third and fifth lanes are the in" direction for most back in sites. Larger rigs might prefer going in lane five as there are more long sites down there.Only sani dump on bottom (straight) road."

Stayed on a Wednesday mid-August just for the night while passing thru. There were approx 15 or so other sites occupied so many options to choose from. Campground is very well maintained, quick walk to a lovely creek if you need to cool down or just want to take some nice pics. There was a bit of highway noise into the evening but didn't bother us in our trailer at all. $20 a night is a bargain for this spot.
