Went there to rent a Power screed tells me it’s a $500 dollar deposit so I go to to give him $500 cash as a deposit he turns to his boss and asks his boss looks at me and tells me he needs $2000 deposit. I asked him why he couldn’t give me a straight answer so I kind of figured he was afraid I was going to steal stuff. Worst service ever and I’ve been in construction for 18 years.

We placed our order out of town and they claimed to know nothing about it. That's fine, glitch in the matrix or a simple logistical error. My 3 star rating comes from the lady that was at the counter who was rude to myself and my staff. It wasn't until I called my guy from my location that she did a 180 and was all of a sudden nice to us. Maybe she was having a bad day, but whatever it was, we got bad service because of it.

Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. Don't be fooled by their lower prices. You generally get what you pay for - I am referring to their customer service, or lack there of.I recently called Battlefield to have a specific lift rented. They agreed and emailed me the paperwork to sign and informed me I would need to make a trip to the store to provide ID and a credit card. I advised them I would reschedule my day to fit in the 1.5 hour round trip to make that happen. Upon arriving at Battlefield, I was met with the unpleasant receptionist who had no idea who I was, why I was there, or the lift I had previously called about. I asked to speak with the gentleman I spoke with on the phone and it turns out he was right beside her during this whole conversation and he was also quite unpleasant to speak with as well. They then proceed to inform me that the lift I reserved over the phone wasn't in stock. After expressing my disappointment, they agree to give me the next size up at the same rate. They then ask for my lift certifications. I advised them I didn't have them with me and no one told me over the phone that I would need to bring them in. After finally agreeing to look at photos of my lift certifications that my wife sends me from home, they advise me that one of my certifications has expired, not by Ontario's standards but their own company policy! Save yourself the time and energy and rent from somewhere else.

I called these guys looking for a concrete saw to rent to cut open a basement window. They told me, quite frankly, that they didn’t carry those. Meanwhile I’m literally looking at a picture of a concrete saw on their website. If you google concrete saw rental, Battlefield is the first ad to pop up, every time. They also “had absolutely no idea” where I could go to find one.Two stars because they at least answered the phone after just one ring.

I found the counter staff to be quite disrespectful (a young woman and an older woman). I went to the store to look at some equipment and to ask questions about a project I was working on. The smirking and tone of voice used by both staff was unprofessional, and both staff clearly appeared to think I was not very intelligent. I didn't have much or any experience doing the project I was trying to do. It should have been very basic information for staff at a business like this to respectfully assist with. I have a lot of experience with, and knowledge about other areas, but not with the construction project I was working on. The counter staff were not very knowledgeable at all, or were unable to communicate their knowledge, and the people working at desks behind the counter appeared to have little interest in assisting. The counter staff lacked basic customer service skills. They were actually worse than if they'd said nothing at all. I would have told them on the spot what I thought of how rude they were being, but after driving a long way to the business, I really hoped I could obtain some helpful information. The younger woman at the counter did eventually outwardly adjust her attitude, maybe once she decided I had a brain after all. I still did not receive some of the basic information I had hoped to obtain. I was the only customer in the store, so it's not like the counter staff were swamped trying to answer questions for other customers. I called a competitor afterwards (Bobcat of London on Clarke Road), and received exceptionally positive, thorough, respectful and professional assistance in response to the same inquiries. I will not deal with Battlefield Equipment Rentals on Clarke Road in London Ontario again unless I have absolutely no other choice. I was respectful to the staff, and expect to be treated respectfully in return.

Bella at the counter is fantastic. She is well versed and easy to deal with. Will be back for more business.
