Old Orchard Inn & Spa

We were picking up our daughter from Acadia University since the university year ended, and my husband and I decided to stay here the weekend of April 22. We believed it would be a comfortable stay (because it was supposed to be a 4-star hotel/spa) prior to our near 2000 km journey back home to Ontario. It was the worst hotel/inn experience we ever had at an inn for noise, and I regret spending the money on this inn. Guests were partying in the halls and bringing in several cases of beer, and bags of liquor. I did request another room away from the obnoxious and inconsiderate bridal party and when I spoke to the front desk staff about it, they were fabulous and gave us another room without hesitation. However, you could still hear people partying in the orchard and running up and down the stairwell at all hours of the night. It was disappointing considering the money spent. At least the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Getting into the bathroom was awkward since it was small, and the door swung inward. The restaurant serves an amazing and exceptional dinner with a fabulous wait staff/management and it was worth every penny. This inn is not a four-star inn and it has no business advertising it as such. Sadly disappointing.

The negative: Way overpriced! I wouldn't be complaining if the rooms weren't $180+ a night. And that's with a discount! Rooms are small. Hotel is dated. Limited breakfast options, and breakfast not included. Pool and hot tub were basic. No showers near the pool, so no one showers before they use the pool. Sopping wet carpet from the pool to the towels. The pool towels are a tiny bit larger than a tea towel.Wifi doesn't work wellPositive: location is good, and the grounds seem nice, though it is winter, and I presume they're nicer in other seasons. Beds have mattress covers and are very comfortable

Beautiful location. Delicious meals and beers. Excellent customer service and staff.

First of all, the room was very nice and clean. Secondly, there was a lot of shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom, which was awesome to see. My daughters and I have very long hair so those tiny bottles you normally get just don't cut it. Third, even though breakfast wasn't included in our stay, the breakfast we got at the onsite restaurant was delicious. I totally forgot there was a pool and didn't pack our bathing suits. My kids will never let me live this down LOL

I have to say worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The restaurant wasn’t very good at all very unhelpful, the rooms outdated, pool was dirty, room wasn’t cleaned at all during our week stay, asked if they had a glass of water and they said “ yah in the vending machine that was out of order” most hotels for that price have lemon water or something right in the lobby. Just very dissatisfied, paid less at Chateau Moncton and a million times better.

Comfortable Inn. With a peaceful location. Wifi could be more stable and perhaps better evening food options. Other than that its a great spot

I booked a cabin at $199 on a Tuesday for a tournament on Saturday. Had to cancel last minute (Friday) because there was a chance we wouldn’t have to stay the night and I didn’t want to get stuck with a cancellation bill. I was a few hours off but they still waved the cancellation for me and I was grateful.When the kids won the tournament and we needed to stay a night I of course went to book here again. The problem was they jacked the price to $225 for the same cabin within four days.When we got in the cabin I started to realize the walls are paper thin. At 11:30pm I had to call the office because we could hear the party in the cabin behind us like they were in our room. The walls are so thin I could hear people walking by the cabins. (Literally the foot steps). I paid $225 a night to sleep in a tent basically.They didn’t discount for this sleep interruption when I complained.The next disappointment came during breakfast when I was never offered a refill on coffee. They could have used another staff person or two. No biggie but coming from the service industry this was a disappointment.On a positive note, I’ve stayed in the building before in a walk out room and LOVED the concrete walls. Couldn’t hear anything in those rooms, it was great!

Surprised husband by taking him there for dinner for his 50th. He used to take his mom there, so I thought it would be nice to honour his mom on his birthday. Decor was the same, iconic. Food was amazing! Waiter was charming! And will definitely back to enjoy their roof top patio for drinks soon. Nice vibe with an incredible view!
