Uncle Tetsu's at Union Station
Tried the cheesecake for the first time during a trip to downtown Toronto. Wasn’t sure what to expect but found it quite easy on the palette. Definitely less sweeter than the classic cheesecake which I love and the texture is a bit different also. I enjoyed it very much but didn’t fare well with my kids.

Not their fault but the cake doesn't feel like it use to when they opened. And all the soggy flavors r not helping.. by 5 hrs it goes so flat .. leke cotton cake becomes like memory foam.

Uncle Tetsu's at Union Station
Uncle Tetsu is one of our go-to places when craving Japanese cheesecake (which is lighter and fluffier than the traditional, denser texture most people associate with cheesecake). It's generally pretty consistent in terms of quality and not overly sweet.We rarely frequent this location, so can't really speak to the consistency of quality between visits, but it is a convenient spot, especially for those working or commuting from Union Station.

Uncle Tetsu's at Union Station
Really good cakes, just remove the idea of a traditional cheesecake and think of a fluffy and creamy pancake. Yes there is a wait because the oven has a limited capacity and that's the price to pay for freshness. At a minimum you should try it and decide if the flavour and texture is for you. This location is convenient for commuters if you are not in a hurry. A single cake is good for about 4-5 people so if you want to take more than one note that you'll have to do the line again.

I’ve been here a few times and customer service is not the greatest. Recently, I’ve purchased cheesecake and rusks and the lady said they charge for a paper bag. Don’t know when this was implemented because last time I came this wasn’t the case. Seriously how could someone carry their purchases if they won’t provide bags?

Generally great, but this location has a consistency issue. At times, (usually when it's the man behind the counter), the cakes I buy here are all crumbly when I cut into them. They're either old or made improperly.

Uncle Tetsu's at Union Station
This is my go-to Uncle Tetsu branch because of its very convenient location inside Union Station. Note that it’s one level above the food court on York Street. I’ve been here multiple times and the staff are always friendly and efficient. Goods are always freshly-baked! If you’re looking for special cheesecake flavors, they serve matcha only on Mondays and chocolate on Thursdays.
