Mr Rooter Plumbing of Port Perry ON

I had a last minute friday night plumbing emergency. Mr Rooter attended inside of an hour. Waqas Ahmad was professional and completed my job in a timely manner. I was satisfied with the job he did and will use him again.

I am very disappointed with Mr Rooter. When I called they told me that their pricing was very reasonable but would not give me a quote on the phone. They charged me $79 for Gary to show up and give me an estimate. Of course the $79 I paid would be included in the job. He arrive right on time, took 5 minutes to get the info for the job and then used his Ipad to come up with the estimate of $579 for a job that is about 1 hour. However, I could get a cheaper price if I became a member (not sure of what but that probably would have cost me too)- the price would be in the mid $400's. I immediately felt ripped off, paid the $79 for the call and asked him to leave.The plumber who finally did the job did it in 1 hour and 10 minutes - yes I timed it. The charge was a more reasonable $223.11 including labour, parts and tax.

I feel completely taken advantage of. They said they would provide me with a quote authorizing work prior to starting anything and didn't. Completely took advantage of my wife as I was not home. Resulted in over priced work that wasn't required or originally agreed up during the time of booking the appointment. $260 for replacing a drain pop up, $380 for snaking a kitchen sink drain. Wow! The most over priced service I have ever recieved. Taken to the cleaners.

The price for parts was outrageous. They charge 350 dollars for a 30 dollar part. Wanted 1000 dollars to fix a leaking pipe . Do not use them
