My husband and I booked a last minute one night stay in a Rusty Hook cabin on Feb 25th. We are avid outdoors-people and always bring our two 4-legged companions with us.When booking, I was told the pet free was usually $100 for the weekend but that we would be charged $50 since we were only booking one night. This is still more than we have paid elsewhere, but we hadn't stayed in these cabins before and wanted to check them out. Upon checking in, I received a phone call and the person who I spoke with told me that she previously forgot to mention that that the pet fee was PER PET and that we would be charged a total of $100 in pet fees for our one night stay. When I told her if I had known that we would have booked elsewhere, she stated that they don't want dogs in the cabins in the first place so try to deter people from bringing their dogs.Well, that succeeded as with such outrageously high pet fees, we will not be booking again. We have had pleasant experiences renting elsewhere with our dogs at Tobin Lake and will continue to book at truly PET FRIENDLY facilities.Pros: the cabin was clean and aesthetically appealing. It was well-stocked with essentials and was comfortable. I would recommend to non pet owners.

We stayed at the rusty hook for a wedding on aug long. The cabins are gorgeous, very well maintained and clean! Air conditioning in all cabins, fire pits and stocked wood. Fully stocked store next door with car wash. Just an unreal awesome place to stay!
