Papillon Cocktail Bar
Stopped in late night, out of town newbie. The music hit, the lighting was ambient, and the drinks were delicious. Also the service ws excellent and even though I'm from Ontario, I'll fly back for just Papillon

Great ambiance and cool factor. However, bartender seemed to be stressed out/frustrated and unable to keep up with orders even when the bar wasn’t full. Wait times to place orders, get drinks, and even pay the bill was unreasonable. Management should rethink their staffing to improve customer service. The cocktails fell below expectations for a cocktail bar. Presentation was nice (love the round ice cubes) but were either too sweet or too acidic and not well balanced.

Amazing new bar! The decor is beautiful and the lighting just makes the place feel so cozy. Staff were all super sweet and helpful. Cocktails were delicious! Courts cancelled is my favorite, even has an edible flower in it!

drinks are great and the attention to detail makes for a super unique atmosphere! St. John’s absolutely needed a place like this, highly recommend.

Took 45 minutes to get cocktails after ordering them, only two available food items on the menu (nuts, or bread dip which was unremarkable). For 15-16$ pretty disappointing to receive a drink that was half full (with a napkin wrapped around the glass to create the illusion that the foam didn't take up 1/2 of the glass). No one in our group thought their cocktail was anything above mediocre. Food items arrived staggered over a 30 minute span meaning some went without food (even though they ordered the same food item as someone else) while others finished theirs before we got the drinks. Service also just terrible, forgot a food item, brought an extra drink, this after we repeated our order! Atmosphere also just plain bad.

We went the other day. The drinks are extremely over priced, we waited around for our bill while the staff took shots. It was so loud that I couldn’t hear the waitress as she stood next to me and my ears are still ringing from the blaring music. It’s hard to justify paying 15$ for a 6 oz glorified five Alive when you can get better cocktails up the street for half the price

The cocktail was good - nothing remarkable, but definitely enjoyable. Service was average at best, a very long wait but friendly. Nice to see another cocktail bar in St. John’s!

We were visiting St John's and happened to find this place. Great atmosphere. The Old Fashioned drink was AMAZING! There was a lot of attention to detail and it tasted great. 'Something Good on Toast' was a delicious dish, which was vegan. I recommend this cocktail bar highly.

Amazing atmosphere, the drinks are heavenly, superb music choice, the Gin Meringue is one of the best gin cocktails I’ve had on this planet. A fantastic date spot and overall a great vibe, if you’re in love take your partner here and enjoy!
