I've been going to Holyrood for around 15 years now. The skills and professionalism Fred brought with him when he took over are top notch. He invested a ton into upgrades while maintaining fair pricing even when he continously gets robbed for his hard earned sports memorabilia. I wish more people put in the hard work and dedication like Fred does as he is one of the last few places left that shows character, class and integrity. Anyone who doesn't have a 5 star rating on here is either retarded or is one of the clowns who breaks in and robs him every year. Thanks for everything!

Chill atmosphere. Sports and gym talk. Cut was quick but clean and smooth. Definitely coming back!

My family and I just moved into the Holyrood area and thought we should try out this hair salon/barber shop. I decided to take one for the team and go first because I am a woman with medium length hair past my shoulders - probably the easiest haircut possible, just a straight trim cutting off a few inches with possibly a few very long layers if I’m feeling feisty that day. I thought “there’s no way in hell they can mess this up”. I was wrong. I’m not very picky about my haircuts, but I expect my extremely simple haircut to at least be the same length without pieces an inch longer than the rest randomly sticking out because they were simply missed in the cutting process. My hairdresser was nice enough and had great customer service skills, but she cannot cut hair. On top of the fact that I was left with a completely uneven haircut with the “long layers” I had asked for being exactly one straight line of a layer an inch above the jagged bottom of my haircut, the cut took an hour and 45 minutes. For reference, I’ve never had a haircut go longer than 45 minutes at an absolute maximum with washing and styling. My 18 year old sister re-cut it later that night on our back porch with a pair of kitchen scissors and she did a significantly better job than the haircut I payed $65 for. My hair is now 3 inches shorter than I had intended and I am not very thrilled about it to say the least. This being said, another hairdresser there, an older woman, seemed to have very impressed customers with lovely hair, and the barber seemed to be doing a fine job as well.

Very professional, clean salon. The barbers take the time to listen to what you like and put it into action. Will be back, and will recommend to anyone looking for a new place.

This is a good barbershop threw and threw ..the staff/owner is great and welcoming very pleasant place to sit and get a good haircut...the work they do is amazing I usually do my own hair I was nervous but once I got to the shop I felt comfortable and got the best hair cut I've had in many many years I'm very happy and ill definitely be going back and prices can't beat them thats forsure

Quite the contrary. The staff ARE very pleasant AND more than BOTH accommodating and competent. My wife has been going here for years and has been pleased time and again with what they've done with her hair. When I said that "I don't know why she likes going here"
