This is my first time (54yo) training in martial arts. The instructors are well-trained, super helpful, motivating, and patient. Everyone is very friendly! I’m really glad I called to sign up. I look forward to continuing my training @ APMAC. See for yourself!!

We just started my sons 3rd year here! Due to covid his second year was short lived. But he is sooo excited to be back. During locked down all he talked about was going back to class! With their covid 19 policies, he was aloud to start back as soon as restrictions were lifted and I was confident in their covid 19 policies and felt safe to send my child back. The staff is always friendly and very welcoming to their students. APMAC has helped build my sons confidence in the art of Martial Arts and overall in the last 3 years immensely. He always has something exciting to share of all the things he learns and earns throughout the classes. Its only up from here and we are proud to be apart of APMAC! THANK YOU for all you and your staff does for our children!

We enjoy the class and the instructors a lot. However, the lady at the front desk isn't very friendly and always has a rude look on her face. She always acts annoyed, like she's better than you. I understand kids need to behave, BUT there is a compassionate way and a mean way...she does NOT know me or my child and I don't appreciate the attitude. She is rude to me for no reason, not just my child when acting up. And before someone says I'm the only one with an issue with her, that's not what I've heard...just everyone is afraid to upset her. I like the classes, but I'm afraid I'm going to need to cancel soon as it's getting super uncomfortable every week. We are involved in a lot of activities and nobody is as rude to my kid as she is.

We tried this place after leaving another which I will not name but unfortunately the other place was not fit for my son. He is 7 years old and was stuck with others way past his age learning with them, here he learns with peers around his age. Which makes a big difference. They did not take the time like this place does with him. He was instantly comfortable here and calmer. The atmosphere here is so much more pleasant. I would highly recommend this place for beginners, especially those who get anxious or anxiety starting a new school/activity. He absolutely loves going. Unlike the other place, which he unfortunately cried every class and did not want to be there. He gets so excited when he knows it's karate day now. I'm so happy with the new transition that he has made here. Thanks to all the staff, they are so good with the students.

APMAC has been so wonderful for my 6 year old. She has been playing karate ever since she was a toddler. After years of expressed interest, I finally registered her in a trial program. She's always so excited to earn that next stripe on her belt. I have no regrets about my decision to register her and APMAC has been so great that Im definitely keeping her in there after the trial period is over.

I would like to provide feedback on my recent experience. Unfortunately, I did not feel valued during my time with the organization. When I decided to cancel, there was no acknowledgement or gratitude for giving it a try. The cancellation process itself was quite terse, with no email receipt provided, just a note on a notepad stating the cancellation. It seemed that the receptionist, in particular, was pleased to see us leave. Her demeanor was unfriendly and she frequently chastised my son, making us feel uncomfortable and judged.Initially, I thought this would be a beneficial activity for my son, but I was mistaken. If your child has autism, ADHD, or any other similar challenges, you may encounter disapproving looks from both parents and the receptionist. It was disheartening to be treated as a bad parent. I have made efforts to seek therapy and support for my son, but unfortunately, our insurance does not cover these services adequately, and we are faced with long waiting lists. I want to emphasize that I am not a bad mother, but simply lacking the necessary support to navigate these challenges. It is possible that some may view my child's behavior as that of a spoiled child upset about not being first in line. However, I see a child who is coping with the absence of his father, an exhausted mother, a child who has been let down by the mental health system, and a child who has experienced bullying and has often been positioned at the back of the line at school due to his circumstances. Moreover, my son struggles with managing his emotions, but he is not a bad child, and I am doing my utmost to provide him with the best care and support. I do not need the additional burden of dealing with other children causing problems and their parents being disrespectful to both me and my child. On a positive note, I would like to acknowledge that the instructors were kind and most of the children appeared to genuinely enjoy the activities. However, I do not believe that Tae Kwon Do, specifically at this particular location, is suitable for neurodivergent children or those with disabilities. It often resulted in my child feeling further isolated and exacerbating his emotional well-being. I sincerely wish that there were better options available for individuals like us.

My daughter has been a student for about a year, and she really enjoys coming to classes every week. The instructors who work with her are always kind and understanding of her abilities (she’s not the most athletic kid but she tries hard). Thank you for working with her!

This place is great. Smaller class sizes so they can focus individually on the kids. Once a week they get a stripe for their belts which is something my red ninja always looks forward to. They are always doing something different each class while focusing on life lessons as well as practicing karate techniques. The little ninjas program has helped my 4 year old son break out of his shell and become a true “karate master.”

My daughter (and our family) are new to martial arts. APMAC has been amazing! They have gone above and beyond to make health and safety a priority, yet still make the classes meaningful and fun. We are so grateful for the entire staff and their hard work! The friendly atmosphere was so welcoming right from the beginning. Thank you!

I have been taking Tae Kwon Do at APMAC since November of 2022. I did not have any prior martial arts experience. If you're short on time, I cannot recommend these folks enough. To begin the meat and potatoes of this review, I would first like to emphasize how welcoming everyone is. Both the instructors and fellow students and very encouraging and friendly. I was never made to feel out of place because of my lack of experience. Quite the opposite actually; they built me up!The classes themselves are structured well by the instructors. One day might be set aside for side kicks and another day for punches etc. The instructors do a great job of showing the moves in front of the class and ensuring that everyone is doing it properly. While the class I take (for adults) is rather large, I always feel like I have enough individual attention because they utilize three instructors (sometimes even four) per class.I have learned so much about Tae Kwon Do from my APMAC classes and have a ball going to them. I am currently a yellow belt working toward my first stripe. If you are on the fence, just do it. It is worth it in every way!
