H&R Block

As I type this, I called in to see if I can get 2 of my t4's done and over with, you know to schedule an appointment. I spoke to someone who answered the phone, asked me who I spoke to the last time I went in and proceeded to pUT ME ON A 30 MINUTE HOLD!! I kid you not right now my phone says 31:26 right now and all they're doing is checking if someone is in that little office. I'm usually not one to complain, and I work at a call center so I know all the various things one can be doing while someone is on hold. I'm praying that it's just someone in training that doesn't know how to use the hold/mute button or something, but I'm not impressed. They better tell me I can come in today....

The services are expensive, to some expense isn’t a problem but it was “very” expensive as compared to the quality of service. The office is and was well presented in terms of appearance but they were disorganized internally.I will not go into further details of our interaction as it will water down the image of H&R block to viewers.Each branch is a representative of the brand and this one in particular has done a not so great job at representing the H&R block brand for those other offices that are proficient in their work and have excellent customer service. The people in the office might not put these comments into consideration as I’ve just seen similar comments and still the unprofessionalism and inefficiency persists but this post is for anyone putting their services under consideration.Anyone can post positive comments here, including employees of the branch and friends of the employees but pay attention to the negatives because they actually come from the customers.

I set an appointment and apparently they didn't have one for me and they lady was very rude to me about it. Had to wait a bit longer for them to get someone to help me for my not so appointment". Besides that the guy who helped me was very nice and friendly and made sure I understood everything that was going on."

Never had my taxes done anywhere else, never needed to. Staff capable and accommodating despite current woes. Dependable and trustworthy. You could do far worse.

Friendly staff, clean waiting area. I didn't have an appointment but was in and out in less than an hour. Jamila was great, friendly and quick. Receptionist was great and very friendly and helpful (think her name was Sandy may she forgive me if I'm wrong lol). Highly recommended

Well, I went one time in person to a HR block to ask for an appointment because I had to do a more complicated process with taxes this year. They were supposed to call me back with a time and date and still today, in almost the middle or February, they never called back. But yes, I tried to reach the professional I needed, I called and I asked her to call me back. Nothing has happened. I couldn't have a feedback to simply book an appointment. So it seems this year I will have to leave HR block if I am not able to find a specific person to do my taxes. I hope not, but if it's time to discover a new entreprise and new professionals, that's it. They never called back even when I insisted and called myself. They she my name and phone number. Dommage.

I will not speak badly of individual people; that will not do any good. However, after my recent experience I will say that I will not be returning to H&R Block in the future. There seems to be a systemic and cultural problem with their Best Practices policies or lack of them. In short, if a business is to be respected in their field of apparent expertise and in their community, they have to earn that respect and honour their word. It's not enough to hire people that are open and friendly; they have to be experts at their job and transparent, this is a fundamental requirement. This includes the person at the front desk that tells you the price and makes your appointment; they need to be accountable too!This offices lack of integrity was appalling and my wife and I feel completely taken advantage of and disrespected. I do wish them the best of luck as a local business, I love when my community thrives, but not at the cost of my families hard earned money. I will go elsewhere next year.My recommendation to this H&R Block is simple: Find a more experienced leadership team. One that knows how to lead.

Worst experience of my life. The staff are not qualified and can't speak English. The woman I dealt with didn't even understand what I was saying and kept having to run over to another staff member to ask questions.I scheduled an appointment and told them exactly what I needed done and when I showed up I had to wait 1.5 hours until someone was free and then that person wasn't even able to do it. All in all it was a huge waste of my time.
