Grey Nuns Community Hospital Emergency Department

Wow this is where all our health care money is going. Two people at the front door handing out masks. Waited over 5 hours to see doctor and then had to wait even longer for tests. Wife is diabetic and sick for a day and nobody checked her sugar level. It’s the Wild West here. They need to focus on one patient at a time and not how many people they can pack in the hospital. We are in trouble, our health care system is crashing and burning and nobody in charge to see it happen. Politicians should be a shamed of themselves.

I went in with what might have been an emergency surgery thing. Don't know how long I waited but it wasn't that long, maybe a couple hours. Had the CT, ruled out the worst, given a prescription and went home. All given with a smile and reassurance.

I was at grey nuns coz I brought my husband to ER. I have to parked at the front coz it’s cheaper to park there since we’ve been waiting for over 2hrs already.I went to the Information desk to ask where is the best way to get back to ER and the lady at the front (black long hair with eyeglasses) was not friendly at all and seems to be annoyed to be interrupted. No smile and just b**** face as she pointed me to the direction where to go.She shouldn’t be at the front/ help desk with this attitude!

Went to emergency departments 2 times , first for severe stomach pain and second time today for rib pain , my rib is totally swollen and worst pain that was unwearable, what these people working in emergency departments let me wait for 7/8 hours even at 3 am . They have time for personal gossip but not for patients.

If I could rate 0 I would. Triage nurse was good. The admitting ones who were acting busy and I stood there for least 35 minutes before being called up. No good service at all acting busy on their computers. Least give me a bracelet so I can sit down

Sometimes the wait is long, but I have had exceptional treatment both times when other hospitals did not take me seriously!First for Gallbladder issues and the second was lung inflammation. Both we fairly long waits but worth it

2 of employees got injured in car accidentsThey were in bad pain but no one cared.One got head injury and other got hit on chest badlyBut we waited for Dr. Over 7 hours.Still waiting for xray results.The healt care system is canada shame full.

I came to this hospital two time in case of emergency. I had to wait for more than 3 hours in a line just for registration, once it done then again i had to wait for almost 3hours & 40 minutes.Terrible service of their especially in emergency.They need to have system by which they can provide better & quick service to serious patients.Nurses over there don’t care what the matter with the patient just have to wait for long and long hours.Really upset from their service.

First time going to Grey Nuns and ive decided that I will never go there again. I went in to emerg because 811 advised me to and because I was feeling really sick. The nurse at the triage desk was so rude to me. As i was telling her my symptoms, she kept replying with “I dont care” “you shouldve had this/that” “why didnt you do this/that”. After speaking with her, i went to the waiting room rethinking my decision of going to the ER today. But after 2 hrs of waiting, i finally went to see the doctor, and i ended up needing IV Fluids and antibiotic. I wish this doesnt happen to anyone, because she was very rude and was not helpful despite me being in so much pain..
