Old School Eatery
If you’re reading this and wondering if you should eat here, just do it! The food, service and atmosphere were all incredible. I wish I could have tried the entire menu. The menu is unique and has lots of GF options. Drinks were cold and refreshing. Servers were friendly and accommodating. We were lucky to stumble upon this gem while travelling. Can’t wait to get back to Revelstoke to come here again!

Came in on a monday evening without a reservation and the server found a table for us. Drinks came fast, food as well. We shared Bao Buns as appetizer, then the Poke Bowl with salmon and the Old School Burger as mains and the chocolate torte as dessert. The food was spectacular, taste as well as looks just on point. Other dishes came past our table and everything looked so good! Service was super friendly and fast as well, I can not recommend this restaurant enough!

Here’s a place to try when in Revelstoke. Located in an old school down by the river - this establishment is great for all ages as the menu has something for all ages. From Osso buco to a burger and fries.

Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken parmigiana and my husband had the Rainbow Bowl and with fried chicken. Chicken parmigiana served piping hot and full of flavour. Chicken was tender, pesto and tomato sauce complimented the simple pasta sauce. Rainbow bowl was fresh and crisp. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

Excellent restaurant with variety food choice. Small town. Big taste!!! I wasn’t expecting to have such a nice restaurant In revelstoke. One of the best restaurants in town for sure!!!

TLDR: Amazing ambience, delicious food, good service.We, party of three, came on New Year’s Eve. We had called around 30 minutes prior to our planned arrival time, at around 5:30pm. The hostess found us a table for three, but we would have to vacate by 7:30pm. That was fine by us, so we took it up.Upon walking into an old school building, the restaurant is directly on the right. Inside, the environment closely resembled that of a school classroom; for example, the floor was tiled. I quite liked the classy incorporation of old-school elements into a modern, cozy restaurant.The hostess and our waitress were superb. They were friendly, had big smiles on their faces, and looked like they wanted to be there. Unfortunately, they were also quite busy, so some of our attempts to attract their attention went unfounded, and when we did manage to request a pair of chopsticks for the Laksa we ordered, the waitress said sure, disappeared, and never returned with said chopsticks.We ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer, and the Chicken Laksa, Linguine Verdura, and Bison Osso Buco as our entrees. Our waitress informed us that instead of bison for the latter dish, they only had elk. That was fine by us.The brussel sprouts came fried to a crispy, melt-in-you-mouth texture, topped with a balsamic drizzle, pomegranate seeds, and some sort of pumpkin or sunflower seeds. It was delicious, though I think they could’ve gone a little lighter on the vinaigrette; the tartness was overpowering. The Linguine Verdura was fantastic. The marinara sauce was just the right combination of sweet, tangy, and salty. The noodles were delectable. The vegetables fit into the dish very well. The Laksa was delicious. The broth resembled a Thai green curry but watered down a little more. The vermicelli noodles were cooked well, and the shrimp were tender. The elk was good, but a little underwhelming. The meat wasn’t super tender and instead a little tough, something I shouldn’t be overcritical of since I almost never eat elk. The sauce and mashed potatoes were good, though.We finished the night with a slice of their Nutella cheesecake. This was amazing; rich, creamy, and sweet. The Nutella was present but not overpowering the taste of a classic cheesecake. It was topped with a berry compote of some sort and a dollop of whipped cream.Overall I would definitely recommend this fabulous spot and look forward to visiting again the next time we are in Revelstoke.

We spent the night in Revelstoke and were looking for a unique place for supper. The old school eatery surpassed our expectations. The old school building has amazing heritage. There’s lots of old photos to see and imagine who passed through the doors and classrooms. Everything has been so nicely renovated and the high ceilings. allow lots of light into the restaurant. The food is absolutely incredible. There are so many unique flavours and combinations. Our mouths were dancing with delight. Absolutely five stars and highly recommended.

We came here for dinner the other night and first off it was a lot higher class than I expected, however there is still no dress code, as most people were still in their ski attire.I got the bison and it was superb. Very tender and our waitress was very kind and attended to us quickly.It is pricey food but the flavors are really good.
