Avani Indian Bistro
Avani is an upscale bistro that has a good atmosphere, a bar and a good menu to boot.I assume the place is used to seeing office groups for lunch and dinners or families for gatherings.The ambiance is great, especially for quite dinners and parties with conversations around the table.I personally thought it bordered on snobby with the a few judgemental looks from a staff or two.The food is good albeit the portions being a tad bit small for the cost. Great restaurants are usually expensive but have portions that delight and fulfil rather than leave an empty space.Service was good but can slow down considerably as the evening progresses.I suggest going in a group and an office credit card for a bit of beer, snacks and conversation. Start early around 6:30pm and expect to pay a premium. The veg crispy is good for starters and the chef knows how to cook salmon but may not be cooked enough for the Indian stomach. The naans are perfect but the tandoori roti is a bit heavy handed. Ask for crispy and light and you might get somewhere.All in all a good experience and food but not for everyone.

I loved the ambience here, it was perfect for a dinner date. The food tasted delicious, we had ordered Gobi Manchurian, Chicken tikka masala with rumali roti & tandoori roti. This is the only place where I liked rumali roti in GTA. The service was very quick and easy. The place is expensive, but you’ll not be disappointed!

I have been Avani Heartland location fan for many years. This was my first visit to the new location. It is a restaurant with great ambiance. Our server, Aman, she is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We spent over 3 hours for dinner, from serving appetizers to our desserts, she delivered exceptional hospitality. The food was amazing; presentation, fresh ingredients, and flavors. Must try restaurant!!!

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and I have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service here!!Our favourites to get are the Gobi 65 (highly highly recommended!), Hakka Chow Mein, Dal Makhani, Kesari Paneer and Chilli Paneer.The prices are a bit higher than other Indian restaurants but it’s definitely worth it, in the case of taking your family to a fancy dinner.

Everything is perfect here from the food to the ambiance. We had ordered gobhi65 loved loved it! We literally had to order 2 portions of it..! They even have delicious salad options for people who are watching their diets. Their dal fry, methi malai matar and goat curry is definitely worth trying. Rumali roti was super soft, ohh lemme tell you about the dessert! They have wonderful several awards for it, “The fried ice cream” I tried both mango and vanilla and both tasted good but I would definitely go back for the vanilla again! Their hospitality was top notch, super attentive staff. The ambiance was perfect blend of rustic Indian meets modern sam. The candle and the perfectly set table matching the decor showed me how much attention they paid to small details, perfect for family dinners or romantic dates!

The food and drinks were excellent, as was the service. Both vegetarian and chicken dishes were delicious and well prepared. It is a popular place so expect longer wait times. Prices are on the expensive side.

Food quality was great, more so the accommodating customer service made our experience that much better! Definitely recommend the Shaam Savera Kebab, Kadhai Paneer and Veg Biryani!

Lovely ambiance with amazing patio for the summer. Service was on point with them being very accommodating with reservations, tables, and number of persons.
