This place hasn't changed its quality for more than 20 years. Outstanding homemade quality food. This is a key stop for me on trips up north. Please stop here and not the pre made food on the hill... You can't go wrong with homemade soups , hand packed patties and omg the gravy.

Get the soup! doesn't matter what it is get the soup! it's always amazing!The food is always good, they don't trying remake the wheel. It's all solid classic food done well.It Can take a bit longer than then most chain restaurants to get your food but it's worth the wait.your food will arrive, no they have not forgotten it.just be patient, real food takes time.Also all the servers here are absolutely lovely! You lady's rock.

Stopped here because we were sick and tired of the Tim Hortons/Hero Burger/Pizzaville/Pita pit stop and because the School House Fish 'n' Chips is currently closed. I was pleasantly suprised. Good service, good home cooking, large portions, and good value. Stop here and support mom and pop restaurants instead of stopping at the big chain food rest stop. We will definitively be dropping in again. So many choices including all day breakfast.

Great food and service! Usually stop by Sunday mornings for the breakfast special. Today dropped by for lunch and had the lunch special (breaded chicken Ceasar wrap and home made chicken noodle soup). Both were great, especially the soup!

While it doesn't look like much from the road, the Restaurant at H&S is a hidden gem, especially for breakfast. Currently they offer a $7.50 breakfast special that includes 2 eggs, choice of breakfast meat, toast, hash browns, a pancake, and coffee or tea – and it's darned tasty.The restaurant itself is clean, but cramped. They are a busy spot and you may find that you are waiting for a table on weekend mornings during the summer. Staff is efficient, though busy mornings may mean slow service, so expect that. It is worth the wait, however.The restaurant only accepts cash payment, though if you are paying with a card there is the option to go next door to pay at the gas station – only a few steps from the restaurant.

I have been here in three occasions now and have not been disappointed! Friendly service, amazing food; taste and quality. Meals were hot when served and brought out in a timely manner.

Small restaurant but good food. We had the breakfast special and couldn't finish all of it. Nicely cooked. We notice a lot of local people go there too. Decent prices and good coffee. Has a full serve gas station there. Prices were 2 cents lower than the nearby station.
