We flew to Toronto, drove to our hotel in Niagara, then drove half an hour to get to our reservation in time and it was all worth it.The mozza sticks were great, the calamari was bomb, and the veal Parm was amazing. Our three year old also devoured the cheesey garlic bread. We had obviously known about this restaurant prior to our trip in the area but we were so glad we made time to come to this great place. The only things I would say I'm critique are that it was super hot inside the restaurant (but they were handing out ice towels for people which I had never seen down before) and there were quite a few flies around when we dined that came in from the patio area.

Came here because we were big fans of Marty's Meat+Three pop up that has since closed. My verdict is that this is American Italian food done well. Mozzerella sticks beautifully done, chicken and veal parm really crispy, tagliatelle was nice and meaty. Service was friendly, but as it was busy, we did have to wait awhile to get seated, have our order taken, and get our water refilled. Atmosphere was very casual, and there was a nice vibe. Overall, good food, but i feel it is overpriced for what it is.

Food was amazing, huge portions but sadly the popular choice for house wine and the tiramisu were sold out but the substitutions were nice. The place looked great but the chairs and benches were very uncomfortable especially for my older parents. Also there was nothing to absorb sound so was very hard for my hearing impaired father to hear our server or us over the sea of voices all talking at once. A true cacophony.

This place is bussing. To start we got the garlic bread which was good, cheese level was exactly what you wanted and the marinara sauce was awesome with it.I ordered the chicken parm and my bf got the shells, chicken parm was delectable. Even the side pasta with it was good, noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was the right consistency. The shells were sleeper, small size if thats all you got but that didn’t bother us as we ordered a lot of other stuff, the lemon and soft cheese together slapped. We also got dirty Shirley’s and those were amazing. For dessert we tried the tiramisu which was a home run, so soft, so creamy, I loved it. Also got the brownie which was aight, too decadent for me but the mint icecream served with it was a really good.Definitely worth the trek! Service was great too!

Slightly disappointed with our visit. The Calamari appetizer was really great, the mains (carbonara & ricotta baked shells) were both a little disappointing and the tiramisu was good. We were unfortunately placed in the middle of the dining room so I had staff constantly brushing up behind me squeezing between the bar and my seat. The food needs to be consistently great at the price point and just wasn't, for me anyway. The carbonara had a strange sour taste to it, like an off milk - it was probably the worst I've tasted - just not for my taste. Ricotta baked shells were ok, didn't do much for me though. The drinks menu appeared to only consist of fairly expensive wine and cocktails, so I ordered a long island iced tea which was good. However, I would have preferred a beer which I later saw served but not advertised? That feels like an upsell to me, why not have a separate drinks menu if it won't fit? It's a 4 star overall for quality but really a 3 in terms of value - about $140 for an app, 2 mains, dessert and 2 drinks.

Nestled right in front of the Crystal Beach sign - up there for the top 5 best Italian restaurants in the Niagara region without a doubt. Think of a 2 hour (if you can last that long) love affair with carbs that you have no regrets about and keeps you wanting more. Phenomenal food, quality ingredients with many things made in house, a cozy atmosphere, service was friendly and ladies, they make a great espresso martini! Absolutely no complaints. Can't wait to go back.

Great vibe and service! We were quite excited to try the food, the calamari we definitely enjoyed every time. The eggplant parm had too much of the bread crumbs taste versus the eggplant. Although the presentation was great! The chicken parm did not taste as good as it looked, dry and unseasoned. The side pasta was the star between the two. We did find it pricey overall. However, I would go back for the app calamari and the dessert : brownie with mint chip ice cream.

I can say without a doubt this is one of my favourite restaurants. The atmosphere is great, the staff is very friendly, and the food left me speechless. The Rigatoni Carbonara is quite possibly the most delicious meal I have ever tasted. It literally brought tears to my eyes. The texture of the pasta, the portion, the rich and creamy flavour of the sauce, all perfect. I ate it slowly and patiently, dreading when the dish comes to an end. The Italian Wedding soup was also the best I've had. The pasta again is perfect and the meatballs are delicious. I strongly, strongly recommend Rizzo's for all to enjoy.Edit: On my third trip to Rizzo's (July 2, 2023) I finally decided to have the chicken parm and it's a decision I should have made sooner. Personally, the best parm I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The breading has a great flavour, with crispy edges. 100% recommended. We had the calamari and Aunti Ang's Wings to start and I would do so again. I've never had wings done this way before and it was great. Service continues to be very welcoming and friendly! Rizzo's holds up as my favourite restaurant.

I've only flipped through Matty's cookbooks but my partner is a huge fan of his food. I was pleased to book his birthday dinner there. We live just over an hour an a half away and it was absolutely well worth the drive. The atmosphere in there is just the beginning. The food was so incredible I don't think we said a word to each other until we were finished eating.I also think it's important to note that our server Stephannie was incredible. She took amazing care of us and was just super personable. The table next to us had some issues (really funny actually, didn't like anchovies and picked a dish with anchovies). I witnessed the most grace an professionalism handling the feedback from the guest about listing ingredients on the menu (which they are, obviously).Literally cannot wait to go back!!!

Drove two hours from Toronto for this. A Matty restaurant never disappoints! Everything is perfection. The sugo is insane. Come very hungry. The salad, mozz sticks, bolognese and tiramisu were to die for. The people here are incredible. The whole vibe. I can’t wait to come back in the summer to try the patio. Thank you, Keegan!
