My mother-in-law took her cat up to be put down after a long illness. No vet was present. The two technicians could not put the needle in correctly the first few tries. They did not appear to be sensitive to the difficult situation at all. Several of our neighbours have switched vets because of the lack of a presence of a vet as well as basic compassion. They are certain, however, to charge you as if a vet was present. There are much better vet clinics around.

Had a great first time experience at Tantallon Veterinary Hospital. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to look at my dog's x-rays and decide if I wanted to send them on to OFA.

What a amazing vet clinic! The staff are so wonderful, caring, compassionate and accomodating. We travelled 1 hour for our 2 dogs to be seen by this clinic and we will gladly make to trip again.

We have been taking Coco to see Dr Barran for approximately 6 months now. The improvement has been amazing as he is a very high maintenance dog with tons of allergies. With plenty of help advice and the right treatment Dr Barran has been amazing. The staff is always friendly and ready with a helping hand. They are all very patient and answer all your questions and address your needs. Coco still loves going to the vet so that should say something in itself. He is always talked to and made a fuss over him and he is a definite attention hog. Great job everyone!

I brought my dog here for a general checkup on the recommendation of a friend. They lived up to expectations; professional yet friendly they gave me an accurate assessment; did NOT push me towards any treatment (rather the opposite, were open and approachable about different methods of treatment) and generally made an accurate and helpful assessment. I was very pleased. They could have advised me to spend a fortune and they absolutely did not.

Our story started with a tick on the lip. Even though they were almost closing, they still helped us with their super friendly staff. We went back the next day for her annual checkup and vaccine. They are very friendly, you can tell they are doing this job for the love for the animals, and they are less business oriented compared to other veterinary hospitals in town. They even called me the next day to check on my baby!

As we have just moved from Glace Bay to the Tantallon area, we were anxious to find a good vet for our schnauzer. We were so pleased to find a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable veterinarian service that is close-by and taking new patients. We feel that our dog's health needs were met, as well as our concerns were heard and respected. We are very pleased with the entire experience and feel confident entrusting our dog's health care with this clinic.
