Love this place, had their Sichuan pickled basa which we’ve had many times before, which is a must have. Also had their fried squid tentacles which were very delicious as well. They’ve got a mid size seating arrangement and a fast service. Would definitely visit again.

I’m not a fan of spicy food, but this restaurant changed my mind!! It’s delicious! The food we ordered was spicy enough to feel heat, but no too spicy to burn you from the inside (they have that option too :) )We had The marrying four and dry fried string beans with some steam rice. Also plum tea is delicious!

Great food and portion! The famous beef soup is a bit oily but I think that’s how it’s supposed to be. You can also customize the spicy of certain dishes. There’s lots of space in the restaurant and the staff is friendly.

The frog dish was average. Had expected the flavor to be more infused into the protein. The husband and wife delight was also just ok. Awkwardly the cabbage was the best dish of all three that I ordered.

Service is fast and kind. I ordered some dishes that require certain techniques. And they are all very tasty n a bit above my standard.Stir fried kidney is tender to the point, and colorfully decorated with various spicies. No excessive oil underneath.Spicy pot with bung is also crispy and tasty. Again no excessive oil in the pot.A solid recommendation!

I am very sorry to deliver a low review but the food here is not prepared properly. I know that Sichuan food is oily but I found that every dish even the fried cabbage dish were all deep-fried first and then stir fried which though I hear is common in fast Chinese food places, the deep fryer oil penetrated everything. It all tasted like the same dirty oil! Please do not deep fry vegetables prior to a stir fry dish. Vegetables should be the edible. Perhaps you should use fresh oil in a wok each time you make a new dish to crisp up the veggies prior to your stir fry.I was so disappointed expecting a feast but rather receiving four dishes submerged in oil and tasting like a deep fryer. You have the flavours right but you need to pay a little bit more extra attention to the process of making a real Sichuan food. My chinese in-law parents wouldn’t eat it. And, us younger generation Chinese cultured Chinese and westerner alike do know what it is supposed to taste like. Please review your processes as you wont be in business long if you continue to serve deep fryer oil instead of traditional Sichuan food.

I think this is the best Hotopia in the city. I have been to the other 2 locations various times but this one by far has the best Mala hotpot. We got meat lover, the portion was big enough for 3 people (order rice on the side). The ingredients were fried to perfection and seasoned well. Service is adequate. Will come again!

The food was really really greasy and didn’t have much taste. I had a stomachache and felt nauseous after the meal. The food came fast but the service was not good. We had to go up to the cashier to ask for stuff. I don’t think I’ll ever visit this restaurant again.

Boiled bullfrogs are great! The next day came again. The pan was almost there. Sauteed green beans are delicious. Better than stir-fried pork sausage

It's been a while since I've been surprised by the food at a restaurant. Despite the crazy amount of dried chillies, the spice level is perfect and the flavours are deliciously complex. As someone who can't eat extremely spicy foods, it's nice that I can still enjoy the food.The chicken wing bowl was mindblowing. There's only 12 wings total, but it was worth it. Each wing was marinated well and received a uniform coating of their signature seasoning.Will be back soon!
