Shone’s Cafe
Ordered a grilled croissant and homemade chicken soup. Both very tasty but both still cold in places. Requested soup be heated further, still not heated through fully when placed back on the counter. Made staff aware of health risk and returned it. No refund or apology offered. I had a long haul flight the following day and couldn’t risk food poisoning. Shame because the soup was really tasty. Also, Wi-Fi wasn’t working.

Very nice atmosphere, but unfortunately the espresso is consistently very very weak. Coffee infused water.

I really enjoy this shop. Flavorful coffee, a huge assortment of home baked foods and treats and well priced. Spacious seating area as well. A chill rainy day spot.

Went there a couple of time.To start, the general looks of the coffee shop is pretty normal , lots of chairs and table. There is plugs for charging your computer and phone.I would say the wifi is not the best. I use the one from the other store close to it.The matcha and mocha are good. They have vegan milk available, which is nice.The workers seems to have a good time working over there. Which is nice, but sometimes they may forgot there is some client waiting at the front.To my eyes I don’t mind waiting a little bit. It’s not everyone who’s patient and kind.In generals, I think they offer a pretty good service and choice of meal/drink. The ambiance, may need a little bit of love. It’s still lovely and cozy!

This cafe is the BEST CAFE on 5th Street Courtenay. Their lattes aren't drowning in sugar, perfectly flavored, and the sandwiches... start living your best life people!

One of the servers was very rude to me this morning, after I had ordered my tea. I felt so uncomfortable, I just left my drink and left the cafe entirely. I don’t think I will ever go back.

I was having a hell of a morning today and decided to stop at Shone’s before heading to work. I told Shona about my morning and she was lovely. She went above and beyond to turn my day back around. Lovely cafe! Good coffee :) Great owner!
