I walked Dubbin Rd and saw an injured deer. I phoned the conversation office and they came within half an hour. I don't know if the officer found the deer, but I think it was handled good.

My wife was at Shannon Lake on August 24th 1:30 pm taking our 3 dogs for a walk. We have 2 female blue nose pitbulls 4yr and 3yr old (Sasha, Zoe) and a 1yr old female mini dachshund.(Evee)My wife always lets Evee off leash because she never leaves her side and she does not cause nothing harm! She doesnt even go to any other dogs walking by.There was 4 boys ages 8-10 that were also walking in Shannon Lake and they asked if they could play with the dogs. Zoe is the most happy dog that loves everything and would never hurt a fly. Sasha is scared of people and ignores everyone.. Evee also keeps to herself...So my wife let Zoe run (with leash still on) for a short time to play with the kids. After about 10 minutes the kids left and Zoe ran over to the long grass then back to my wife. Meanwhile for the past few minutes from across the park, there was a lady conservation officer screaming at my wife. When she approached she was still yelling repeatedly saying “ your dogs can not be off leash “ “they are off leash” and “ I am very mad at you “ my wife then grabbed Zoes leash and said. I let Zoey play for a couple minutes with the kids cause they asked. If my dog wasnt a gentle teddy bear do you think she would let her play with kids? NO ! She continued to yell at my wife furiously saying my dogs were dangerous and were charging at the kids...While Zoe stood at her feet super happy hoping she would get a pat on the head she ignored her and continued to yell saying “these dogs are not welcome at my park..... theyre dangerous should be put down”. The lady even said they were chasing wildlife. (which they werent... they never do) I trained them not to chase any ducks, squirrles, dear or anything else... she was just so mad that she was now accusing the dogs of things that never happened. My wife apologized numerous times and just wanted to leave without any conflict. The officer then pointed at little Evee and asked where her leash was and why isnt it on. My wife said... its here ill put it on now! Then she started yelling again about the other 2 dogs and how dangerous they are and how wreckless my wife was for not being able to keep them on a leash.I am in disgusted on how that lady acted and how unprofessional she handled this situation. This is unacceptable !!I did a little research about BC conservation laws and come to find out ....if lets say ...Zoe was running (off or on leash) towards wildlife or the conservation officer herself and felt in danger ... she could shoot and kill my dog with no consequence... She could shoot your dog in your front yard on your property if she felt like she was in danger.... Sounds like she would do it just because a dog is a pitbull.IT IS OWNERS THAT MAKE DOGS MEAN. PITULLS ARE NOT THE ONLY DOGS THAT CAN BE TRAINED TO BE MEAN. THIS LADY IS A PITBULL HATER AND SHOULD NOT HAVE A JOB AS ANY KIND OF OFFICER OF THE LAW. SHE IS DISPICABLE AND I AM SO GLAD I WAS NOT AT THE PARK WITH MY WIFE....We are now scared to go to Shannon Lake because of this. Our dogs are like our babies and if anything happened to them like a lady shooting them for no reason... I would be going to jail for life
