Dinner was wonderful! The service was exceptional, we were made to feel like the most important people in the building and the chef also came out and made sure everything was to our liking. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

My friend and I were going to a concert at the Blue Frog and wanted to have a good dinner first. It was our first time at Onyx in White Rock. I used to go to Onyx in Port Moody and always enjoyed my times there. From the moment the manager opened the front door to when we left to attend the concert, it was a wonderful dining experience! We had appetizers, mains and sides that we shared. All were equally delicious!! We were too full for dessert, so we will have to come back again. The service by the manager was impeccable and the atmosphere was comfortable and moody. Thank you for giving us a memorable dining experience Ruez!

Enjoyed a dinner here, the restaurant had a nice feel to it, staff were friendly as well. The steaks were delicious, but the sides weren’t up to the same level. Only thing was the portion size of the dessert, for the price it was comically small. Wish I could have bought some of the steak rub to take home as it had excellent flavour.

We were beyond super pleased with our dinner in the private dining room last night. It was important to treat my staff and their mates to a fantastic evening, and we certainly picked the right place. Food and cocktails…amazing! Murat was a true pro at managing the entire evening. Best tomahawks everyone had ever had, and my dog Duke is loving the bones. Thank you, for awesomeness.

pro:-staff is really nice-clean and sleek atmospherecon:-no ac-ordered 64oz tomahawk steak, alaskan king crab leg, lobster mac&cheese, beef carpaccio, steak fries, mussels, and ceasers salad.. all were bland-the 64oz tomahawk does not look 64oz, i have ordered 48oz else where and it is bigger-some items on the menu must order 24 hours in advance such as lobsteri rarely do reviews but i recommend not to come here. could be a bad day which they said the main chef was off sick and had a replacement, but still, not an excuse, especially when the bill is large.nice people though, just makes the review much harder

How disappointing! Many years ago, this was my go to restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries and any celebration. Having not been there for several years, I thought it would be a lovely place to go for my birthday. My husband and children were all looking forward to it.The interior and ambiance of the restaurant is still lovely, the presentation is beautiful and the atmosphere not too loud. That said, everything went downhill from there. The food was a mixture of awful (undercooked and very fatty/tough steaks) to mediocre. The portions were tiny as were the sides which have to be ordered separately. We all left the restaurant hungry which was a huge let down especially as the prices are considerably higher than average.It saddens me that a place which was once worth every penny is now not worth even one star.

Wow! My fiancé and I were absolutely blown away by the service and the food.The steak melted in our mouths, and the sides were exceptional and they complimented the mains so well.We will definitely be back, as the manager made us feel so welcome and just added to our overall amazing experience.
